Our Siberian tigers now have a brand new home at Greenview Park & Zoo 🐯✨

This space was built with one goal in mind—more comfort, more enrichment, and more room for two incredible animals to simply be tigers.

One of our ring-tailed lemurs has a tiny new sidekick, and it's about as cute as it gets.

You'll often spot this little one riding along with mom, taking in the world from the best seat in the house. 🥹

Meet Josephine 👋🦘

Josephine is part of the largest kangaroo species in the world—built for powerful movement, balance, and those incredible long-distance hops that make them one of nature’s most efficient travellers.

🌿 In the wild, red kangaroos roam Australia’s open grasslands and arid regions, covering huge distances in search of food and water.

🌏 Conservation status: Least Concern — but like all wildlife, they rely on healthy ecosystems and protected habitats to thrive.

And one of the most special things about Josephine…
she’s a mom 💛

You might even spot her with her little roo close by, growing up safely tucked into her world of calm hops, soft moments, and constant care.

Around here, she’s known for her calm presence and gentle energy—the kind of animal you can’t help but stop and watch a little longer.

FUN FACT FRIDAY 🐾

Spotted hyenas don't just have a powerful reputation — they have one of the most powerful bites in the animal kingdom 👀

Their jaws are strong enough to crush solid bone, allowing them to access nutrient-rich marrow hidden inside. This incredible adaptation helps them make use of parts of a carcass that many other predators can't.

In the wild, this efficiency plays an important role in the ecosystem by ensuring very little goes to waste.

Nature has a way of turning every species into a specialist — and spotted hyenas are a perfect example of that. 🐾
