The 2026 KWPN-NA Handbook and Stallion Roster arrived this morning featuring the 2025 Gert van den Veen Award on the cover, a recognition given to outstanding young KWPN horses in North America. It highlights the best 3–5 year olds in North America in all breeding directions: dressage, jumper, Gelders, and harness divisions.

Really nice to see Sensational Dream recognized in this year’s edition as the winner in the dressage division. She was named best filly in 2022 and has continued to develop into a mare we are very proud of. What also stood out is that the jumper award winner was Summer Bloom, bred by Bloomington Farm, just in the next village over. In all of North America, both the top dressage and jumper horses coming from such a small area here in Eastern Ontario is pretty remarkable.

Sensational Dream's first foal by Giovanni arriving this May is one we are very proud of and excited for.

First North American foal by Giovanni has arrived… and she did not disappoint !

A stunning black filly out of Fairlinda (Uphill x Sorento). Elegance, femininity and perfect bling all in one.

Some posts are harder to write than others… and this is one of them.

After 7 years, Karen is leaving Canadream Farm.
It’s hard to put into words what she has been to me and to this farm. Karen has been there for everything, from building the stallion barn with us, to being my right hand with the stallions, the foals, the mares… and honestly, in life too.

Her work ethic, her eye for detail, and her love for the animals (sometimes more than for people 😉) are simply unmatched. So much of what Canadream is today, the standard, the care, the organization, has Karen’s fingerprints all over it.

Over the years we shared countless laughs, long days, quiet routines, and also some very hard and emotional moments that come with loving and breeding horses. Somewhere along the way she became much more than an employee… she became a true friend.
Karen is leaving to be closer to her family and to step away from the horse world. While I fully support her decision and wish her happiness in this next chapter, my heart is heavy seeing her go.
On behalf of myself and all of our clients who have, in one way or another, benefited from her dedication, her standards, and her care, thank you, Karen. There aren’t enough words.

You will always be part of Canadream.
