Bark Busters Montréal Est et Rive Sud Éducation Canine à Domicile - Home Dog Training
Serving Montreal-East and South Shore! My journey into dog training started with my own puppy, Teddy.

Like many dog owners, I faced challenges and sought help, which led me to Bark Busters. The transformation I saw in Teddy was incredible—not just in his behavior but in our bond. That experience inspired me to make a bold change in my life. After a career in the banking industry, where I spent years helping people achieve their business goals, I decided to pursue something deeply fulfilling: helpi

ng dogs and their owners build better lives together. Today, I’m proud to bring that same commitment to helping families right here in Montreal! I understand how important your dog is to you, and I’m here to empower you with the tools and confidence to create lasting change. Training is more than addressing behaviours—it’s about fostering trust and harmony in your home. With every client I work with, my focus is simple: results that last, guidance you can rely on, and a relationship with your dog that grows stronger every day. Let’s work together to help you and your dog live your best lives! My areas of expertise include:
Puppy training
Separation anxiety in dogs
Stopping excessive barking
Dog aggression and aggression toward humans
Leash training, including leash pulling
Stopping dogs from jumping on people
Food aggression in dogs and resource guarding
Reactive dog training
General obedience training
And more…

EXTREME HEAT WARNING!
𝗦𝗔𝗙𝗘𝗧𝗬 𝗧𝗜𝗣𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗛𝗢𝗧 𝗦𝗨𝗠𝗠𝗘𝗥 𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗦❗

Here are some tips for our team to avoid heatstroke and accidents during heat waves.

1. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗱𝗲 ❄️
When the weather is too hot, it's best to keep your dog inside especially if you have air conditioning. If you want to be outside, make sure your dog stays in the shade and has access to cold water at all times.

2. 𝗡𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗼𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗰𝗮𝗿 ❌
Even for a short period of time. Even if the windows are open and the car is in the shade. The temperature will rise quickly and will soon become deadly. Heatstroke occurs quickly and can lead to organ failure. This condition can be easily avoided.

3. 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘀 💦🧊
Your dog must always have access to cold water. Giving frozen treats is also a great way to cool your dog down. A great way to do this is by stuffing canned food in a toy (we really like Kong toys) and putting it in the freezer. It keeps them occupied for a while, it's a fun treat, and it's refreshing!

4. 𝗔𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 ❌
Avoid exercise during the day when it's hot. A good option would be a short walk at night or early in the morning. Don't forget to touch the pavement to ensure the temperature is appropriate for your dog's paws. Another good option is swimming in a lake or a swimming pool, it could bring your dog's temperature down while he's active.

5. 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗸𝗲 🌡
Heavy panting, difficulty breathing, excessive thirst, thick saliva, drooling, bright red tongue and gums (might turn grey or blue), vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, dizziness, collapse, loss of consciousness... If you notice any of these signs, go see a vet ASAP! Emergency centers are open 24/7 and are always there for you and your pet.

How hot is TOO hot for your dog? It's the most commonly asked question of summer. Knowing that every dog is different due to age, size, and health, here are some general guidelines to help you make a decision and keep your pup safe.

Before training, Belle the ’s family felt like they were walking on eggshells in their own home. She would bark at the boys, chew furniture, and even bully them by blocking the stairs, refusing to let them go up without a scene. It created stress and tension in everyday routines — the family didn’t feel free to move comfortably in their own space.

But with clear leadership, structure, and consistent communication, Belle has made a complete turnaround. She now understands boundaries, calmly respects space, and the whole household feels lighter, more peaceful, and finally back in charge.

From chaos to calm — and it all started with showing Belle the way. So proud of this family and the incredible progress they’ve made together. 💪🐾
