Saturday was the annual Merritt endurance ride. Weather was perfect (for the horses!)-  Windy, overcast and cool. Feral
Horses on the road, cows interrupting our vet checks - all part of the fun!
No injuries, no one sick although a few could not complete. We had a bit of a scare mid afternoon when the Boston bar fire smoke reached us, and ash was falling and the sky darkened, but luckily it cleared and we didn’t have to evacuate.
On the way home I stopped at the Coquihalla recreation centre at an exit called Falls Lake (never even noticed it before!) and went for a hike up to the lake and around half of it.
It’s a nice change to my routine work 😊
