Summer Smiles didn’t go as planned but we’re thankful for the decisions made by Manitoba Hunter Jumper Association with horse and rider welfare in mind.

CJ was the only one out of the four to get in a few rounds Saturday and was a 10/10 good boy. Still very green over fences he took everything in stride out in the big grass ring.

Sunday morning Ace and Kamryn got to go out and put in one round and considering they only got to go out for a short walk saturday they put in a great round for third place. This partnership just keeps getting better and better!

Thanks Wyldridge Ranch for coming out to coach this weekend.

Next up for us is two full trailers headed to Brandon June 13-15 for Wheat City.

The Good Equine crew that attended Victoria Day Horse show this weekend had a great weekend. Everyone braved the cold and the snow (ok there may have been a little complaining), horses were fantastic, parents were supportive and riders learned lots. With green riders and new partnerships I couldn’t have asked for better rounds being put in that were both safe and showed improvements as the weekend went on.

Back at it on the grass for Summer Smiles in just under two weeks!

Considered grade at the moment while I try to get through some loopholes to get my hands on her papers this year.

Caught first try with fresh in 2022.
Foaled out by herself as a maiden and had baby up nursing and healthy by the time I got there.
Super milk supplier
Gave me a stunning and well built filly by Oxford in 2023. (Photos in comments)
Fantastic mom. Has been open since.

My requirements:
-All Breeding/and foaling processes must be done with and through Elm Creek Equine.
-Regular maintenance:
-Trims every 8-10 weeks
-Worming through vet recommendation to stay on track with my program.
-vaccinations through my vet
-maintained on an approved ration balancer. Otherwise a severely easy keeper.

She has quirks. Not to be trusted with inexperienced handlers as she spent 10 years with minimal handling and has a significant fight or flight reaction which I'm happy to discuss openly.

Only offering her out to the perfect situation.

2025 Part board opportunity

Potential part boarder Found! Thanks to those that shared ☺️

Offering a rare part board opportunity on my 14 year old, 16'2, ottb, hunter gelding.

Starting in March

Ace is in his prime but client horses come first and after hating having him sit last season I'm looking for someone to come help keep him in more consistent work and enjoy him as much as I do.

2-4 rides/ week with at minimum weekly lessons

Independent riders only. Not for beginners. Safe but quirky.
Doesn't have to be someone who wants to show, but lessons with me are required.

Very Private barn. There will be a "trial" period to ensure the right match for both the horse and the facility.

High end tack to ride in included.

A throwback photo from Wheat City in June to wish these three girls the best of luck this weekend at Pony Club Regionals. Responsibilities back home meant for me making the tough decision not to head out to Brandon yesterday, so waiting by the phone for updates and questions has to do this weekend. Really wishing I was there!

The Odds R Even “Luke” is looking for his next perfect home!
10 year old, grey, ottb gelding. Came off the track 3 years ago and was bought by his current owner 2 years ago.
Up to date on vaccines and teeth. Sound barefoot with good feet. Very well mannered for the farrier. No maintenance, clips, baths, loads. Not spooky. Kick ride. Adult/Amateur friendly. They don’t get much quieter or well mannered then this guy. He is an absolute pleasure to have in the barn. Still green but so simple and easy. His owner has loved and enjoyed him but a young busy family leaves less hours for saddle time.

Good Equines ‘Da Capo’ and Sidygin Stables’ ‘Grassmere’ attended RMWF last week and produced many consistent rounds and placings in the hunter ring.
Proud of both horses throughout the marathon that is fair. Da Capo moved up a height division without issue and Grassmere continued to be his reliable handsome self.

Special thanks to Jessi Good for her grooming/coaching help, and also for making sure there was a constant supply of carrots for the boys ringside 🥕

As well as me and the boys ottb besties Arielle and Buffy, thanks for making the week so much better. Having friends like this is part of the reason I love this sport so much.

I’d also like to thank those in our amazing circle of friends and family as well as our horse community for their support not only while in the ring but also while we dealt with not having a truck for the majority of the week after the drive shaft was stolen from it our second night in Brandon (I wish I was joking). Those that didn’t even hesitate to come and rescue us from the hotel at 6 am so we could make sure I got to the show, and those who offered us they’re vehicles and also spots on the trailer to ensure we could commute and then get home. The generosity I experienced throughout the week truly made my heart swell ❤️

Thanks for capturing so many amazing photos throughout the week.

I’ve rested up and look forward to getting back to work. Many training horses and students starting up this month getting ready for the upcoming outdoor/summer season and I am so excited!!!!
