Policy Refresher 👩🏽‍💻

To ensure the best experience for every pet and client, please take a moment to review the following policies:

Vaccination -💉

To protect the health and safety of all pets in my care, up-to-date core vaccinations are required before grooming appointments. Proof of vaccination will be requested by appointment day.

Matting-🐶🐱

Severely matted coats can cause discomfort and skin irritation for pets. If matting is present, additional grooming time and fees may apply. In some cases, shaving may be the safest and most humane option for your pet’s comfort.

Cancellation Policy- ❌

Appointments are reserved specifically for your pet. A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a cancellation fee.

Safety Policy -⛑️

Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priority. While I work with many nervous and anxious pets, if a pet’s behavior poses a safety risk to themselves or others, the grooming session may need to be stopped.

Additional Grooming Time -✂️

Some pets may require extra time due to coat condition, matting, or behavioral needs. In these cases, adjustments to the final grooming cost may apply.

New Client Forms -📝

All new clients are required to complete intake and consent forms prior to their first appointment. This information helps ensure safe and personalized care for your pet.
If you have any questions about these policies, please feel free to reach out. I am always happy to help.

Flea & Tick Prevention - 🦟
All pets are expected to be on a current flea & tick prevention. If fleas or ticks are found during an appointment, an additional treatment fee may apply. Severe infestations may require the groom to be stopped or rescheduled to protect other pets in the salon
If a flea infestation is discovered in the salon, flea treatment or fumigation may be required to ensure the safety of all pets. Any costs associated with treating the salon may be charged to the owner of the pet responsible for bringing in the infestation.

🐾 BIG NEWS! THE SHOP IS OPENING! 🐾🎉

After lots of hard work, planning, and building, I’m SO excited to finally announce that Cornwall Claws & Paws Grooming is officially opening its doors! 🥰✂️🐶🐱

Opening Day: Friday, September 4th!

I’ll be starting off on Friday with in-shop nail trims, giving everyone a chance to come check out the new space and get their furry friends’ paws looking fresh! 🐾💅

Then, starting the following week, I’ll officially be opening up for full grooming appointments! 🎉✂️

I seriously cannot thank everyone enough for all the support, patience, and encouragement while I’ve been getting the shop ready. It means SO much to me, and I can’t wait to welcome all of my amazing clients both old and new into the new shop! ❤️

From cuddles and kisses to those faces that have the look of “ okay lady where’s the treat” - I absolutely love this job🐾🤍

Finn/Kenji - Neither of these boys liked their nails done in the beginning but Finn has came a long way, his mom doesn’t even have to hold him anymore. Kenji still is not a huge fan and thinks his teeth are scary 🫣 In reality he really just wants to give kisses ! 🐾💙

Finn ( kitty) - Finn’s mom told me he was pretty spicy when it came to being held and his feet touched, but he did fantastic! Finns momma was very pleased with the outcome and Finn’s excellent behaviour🐱💙

Bandit - This sweet boy is very nervous around new people and was very on edge about the whole nail process. We went at his pace, lots of treats and peanut butter 🥜We are now in a good spot that he’s warming up to the fact that the nail lady is not out to get him, overall his progress is outstanding 🐾💙

George / Leeloo- George isn’t a fan of nail days but he did really well with his dad by his side 🐾💙
Leeloo did amazing, she sat and let me do her nails with no challenges 🐾🩷

Pip - This sweet boy is still a puppy. Both his mama and I weren’t sure how he was going to do but turns out pip is a pro at the entire nail process! He stood so still and gave me his paw like it was routine. I even got some snuggles after. What a champ 🐾💙

🐾 SHOP UPDATE! 🐾

I can’t believe how far this dream has come! 🥹❤️

The shop is officially starting to feel like a REAL grooming salon! ✨

The grooming table is here, ( getting it set up) the hot water is almost hooked up, the heat pump is keeping the space cozy, and so many of the little details are finally coming together.

And I had to share how beautiful the building looks all lit up at night!✨

There’s still a few things left to finish and organize, but we are getting SO close to opening the doors! I’m beyond excited to have my own little grooming space where I can welcome all of your furry babies. 🐾💕

Some of the fantastic clients from last week🐾🤍

Reacher - The German Shepherd! He’s not exactly sure of the whole nail trim process but he did very well! Snacks and some lovings goes a long way for this sweet boy🐾💙

Ginger and Tommy- 2 orange kitty’s that did absolutely incredible for their nail trims , Ginger was very calm during the process, she was happy to snuggle while I did her nails 🐾🩷
Tommy was very calm as well just needs his mommas snuggles while we finished his nails🐾💙
