We’ll be at New Moon Community Homestead this Friday for the first Farm Gate Friday of the year! Come learn a bit about us, and a lot about the magic of this place that keeps pulling us back. Farm-to-fork bbq, live music and a bunch of lovely local vendors. Come hang out from 5–8pm ~ we’d love to see you there! 💛✨

Tomorrow we will be one of many coming together to kick off the London Cares Curb Hunger campaign at our very own Cavendish Community Food Hub. This annual campaign helps raise awareness about the London Food Bank and the ongoing need for support especially during the summer months when donations slow down but demand continues.

From May 28 to June 8, you can help by:
🥕 Planting a row, growing a row & sharing your row of fresh food donations with the food bank!
🥫 Donating non-perishables at any participating grocery store across the city or firehall.
🌱 Signing up to adopt a plot.
🫶🏼 Donating online.
💛 Volunteering your time at the Food Bank!

Interested in starting your own business?

Do you have a passion for local food systems and hospitality?

If you meet the criteria, this no cost program could be right for you…

• You’re eligible to work in Canada.

• You have a disability or barrier to employment.

• You can attend the workshops for three weeks, Tuesday and Thursday.

• You’re able to commit to building your business

• Attend one on one sessions with our self-employment specialist weekly for 12 weeks

•You can start on Tuesday June 3rd at 10am

Last weeks harvest to the food bank included:

Lots more to harvest this week, we cannot wait to drop off more 🌱🌱

We hosted a potluck as a team this afternoon for our Co-op student Tammy- thank you so much Tammy for all of your time with us 🌱

Among many delicious options like homemade tomato soup & toast…

We harvested some greens from the indoor farms to make a green onion & basil pesto & a salad, to taste test our kale & sweet peas!
It was all so delicious 🌱🌱
