It was a busy day yesterday but a great day....i woke up to Evie (a doodle) in bed with me @730 am... then said hi to her best buds ... that i call the rat pack (yes real rats), they are so cute and love being held....quick walk and potty for Evie...and a couple cups of coffee for me. The day had officially begun...10am a walk with Kappie, retired golden retriever hunting dog, 20 minute bike ride to pick up CleĆ , a Havanese that walks like she's a runway model around 11:20am then a 20 minute bike ride to pick up Maggie the most beautiful Heeler Mix ever, then at 1:40 we have Georgia, a Texas Blue Lacy and her mini doodle bro...they insist on taking me for a coffee 2x a week because there are free dog treats with a coffee purchase...they alway forget their wallets though. Then finally it's a
short bike ride to pick up Maizy at 3:15pm, an XLBully that is a s**t brick house of pure muscle but the sweetest, most loving dog around...unless there is a squirrel involved...then all bets are off...she no longer hears commands and that killer squirrel must be caught....I stay alert and upright 97% of the time; the other 3% that squirrel is at fault and snuck up on us both. 4:30pm i get back to where i started with Evie and the rat pack,,,evie and i play in the back yard then make dinner etc...sit for a few and at 7pm we do our evening walk .... usually we go for that around 9:30 pm but we went early so we can walk to the 1st pet food store (combine the walk and the emergency fortification of cat food trip)
They do not carry the brand i need.....head for the second pet food store and found it ..the kitties will eat...and of course i told Evie to pick out a treat for herself...she chose a foot long collagen stick and insisted on carrying it home by herself. Get back to Evies and in the house...Evie has one goal and it no longer acknowleging anything else....that collagen stick must dispatched and until then nothing else exists. I decided to leave her to it and take the cat food over to the Calico twins Chasey and Chance....a few blocks away; get them fed, watered, scratches, pets and cuddles..
Finally back to Evie and the rat pack and we are done with our feet up....calling it a great day.
Oh, BTW today i fell short of my estimated # of steps for the say.....i was shooting for 40k and we only came in at 38,719 or 18.42 miles....not including bike mileage....i really should start tracking that.
