A big giant "Happy Birthday" to Kurt today!! 🎉🎈🎂🎶
We won't go into details about how old he is, but if you've ever met Kurt, you'd know age doesn't matter! He lives his life with a smile on his face dedicating so much of himself to his family, friends, his critters (Pygmy goats, mini donkeys, mini horses, chickens, turkeys, ducks, guinea fowl, Labs, cats, alpacas, reining horses), and let's not forget his Newfoundland Ponies too!! He likes good music, good laughs, and has some wicked dance moves too!
The Newfoundland Pony Herdbook has gained lots of new foals because of Kurt's dedication and drive. His passion for the Ponies is quite evident.
We took this picture of Kurt one Fall not long ago with Jake, his favorite 32 year old pony, that he bought as a 4 year old. Jake has taught so many kids how to ride over the years and given many of them that first taste of horsemanship. We were suspicious that Jake might have some Nfld pony in him because of his roan coat, however DNA testing was inconclusive.
Regardless of that, this is the Pony that started Kurt down the path to raising Newfoundland Ponies, and we couldn't be more happy about that! 🎂🎉🎈☺️

Introducing another one of our stunning fillies from 2026!
"Bird Stable's Easter Sunday"!
Easter is sired our handsome black stallion, Yetman's Black Cabot NPS #420 who always stamps his babies with his good looks, as well as his stoic presence and grace.
Late Summer NPS #822, our beautiful black mare, with quite unique genetics is Easter's dam. We are proud of yet another beautiful foal for 2026! Easter is available for consideration to a breeding home. This gal will be a very valuable piece to add to someone's breeding program, and add to the genetic puzzle!

Maple is sired by our buckskin stallion, Canaan Dancer, NPS # 902, and out of our beautiful bay roan mare, Precious Angel, NPS #873.
Maple is available for your consideration! For anyone interested in adding her to their breeding program, she is sure to add quality and beauty as well as some unique genetics.

The second foal born at the Stable is out of Beth's Newfoundland Pony mare, Homestead's Bristol's Hope, and sired by Canaan Dancer.

**🐴First introduction for 2026🐴**

"Bird Stable's Rocky Shore"

Rocky was born Feb 22nd, 2026, and is sired by our buckskin stallion Canaan Dancer NPS #902 and out of our chestnut mare Homestead's Unchained Melody, NPS # 1018. This guy is personality plus and has so much presence!

This is Dancer's first foal here at Bird Stables and we are very happy to say he's certainly made us proud! He is bold and friendly and to top it all off, so very handsome!
Another foal that we are very proud to add to the Newfoundland Pony Registry!
