We are located on an incredible 50 acres of green fields, rolling hills, and wooded areas in King City Ontario, just a short drive from downtown Toronto. Our picturesque location is the perfect safe haven for lost, abused and neglected animals to heal and be rehabilitated while they wait for loving forever homes.

Meet Bonito 🐹

Bonito is a sweet, gentle guinea pig looking for a loving family to call his own.

Bonito and his best friend, Jellybean, came from a school that closed and had nowhere for them to go. When they arrived at our rescue, their nails were extremely overgrown and had curled into their skin, showing just how much care they had been missing.

Despite everything, Bonito has remained a friendly and affectionate little guy. He absolutely loves lettuce treats and enjoys simply spending time with people who sit and keep him company.

Bonito and Jellybean were very closely bonded, but sadly Jellybean passed away earlier this year. Since then, Bonito has been lonely.

Bonito is approximately 3 years old and is hoping to find a family of his own. He deserves a home where he will be loved, cherished, and never have to feel alone again.

Traye is getting older.

After spending so much of his life in a shelter, our biggest wish is that he gets the chance to experience what it truly means to be home.

Traye is deeply loved by our staff and volunteers, but a shelter was never meant to be his forever.

When Traye first came to us, he was full of energy. He would run through the yards and greet us with excitement every day. Over the years, we’ve watched him grow older. He doesn’t move quite as fast as he once did, and seeing that change is a heartbreaking reminder of how long he has been waiting.

We don’t want Traye to spend the rest of his life in a shelter. He deserves quiet mornings, a comfortable place to rest, and a person he can finally call his own.

Traye is looking for an adult-only home with little to no stairs. He needs someone patient who can take the time to visit him and earn his trust, as he can be protective around strangers. He is selective with other dogs and does not do well with cats.

The Community Pet Rehome by Dog Tales Rescue and Sanctuary was created to help families who can no longer keep their pets find them safe, loving new homes.

The dogs you see here are not at a shelter. They’re still with their current owners, who are doing their best to rehome them responsibly.

This is a courtesy page that we have created to help the families. Dog Tales is not liable or responsible for the pets posted.

We would love to invite you to be part of our Summer Open House Sundays — happening every Sunday on our beautiful farm!

This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase your products, connect with the community, and spend the day surrounded by nature, compassionate people, and a beautiful atmosphere.

✨ Vendor participation is complimentary ✨

Our farm is home to rescue dogs who get the opportunity to meet visitors and find loving connections, along with many rescued farm residents who are deeply loved and cared for by our devoted staff and volunteers. Visitors also get to learn more about the work we do each day and the importance of rescue and compassionate care.

🐶 Your products do NOT need to be animal-themed!
We welcome all kinds of vendors, artisans, creators, handmade goods, treats, clothing, crafts, home décor, wellness products, and more — everyone is welcome!

Raya was only expected to have months to live.

But thanks to the love and care of her palliative foster home, she has surpassed every expectation. ❤️

Now, this sweet girl is facing another huge change — Raya will be leaving her foster home and returning to the shelter on June 30.

Raya has a serious heart defect and orthopaedic issues, and shelter life is incredibly stressful for her health. After everything she’s overcome, she deserves to spend the rest of her life in the comfort of a loving home.

She may be shy at first, but once she trusts you, Raya will stick to her person like glue. She would do best in a calm home with teens or older, and can happily live with calm dogs and cats.

Please help us find Raya the peaceful forever home she deserves. 🐾
