What is enrichment for your dog?
Here is a good definition "Enrichment is providing animals with needed environmental stimuli that satisfy their instincts, which promotes physical, psychological, and emotional well-being."
It is training new behaviors and puzzle toys, but it is more then that!
Enrichment activities are all of the things that make your dog's brain and heart happy. So walking in a new location (on or off leash), hiding treats all around the house, playing hide and seek, training a new trick using treats, taking a training class, rolling up treats throughout a towel (one of my favorites), adding treats under tennis balls in a muffin tin, playing music (there are doggy playlists), go on a snif-fari (seeking out fun smells), taking them for a car ride, swimming (but not for all dogs), and many more. Your dog might really enjoy an activity that you can vary for more challenge and more enrichment.
The essential part is that you are both having fun and exploring together!
