One of the dogs that we picked up from Budd Line.

These 7 little shihtzu mix dogs were picked up on Budd Line in South West Oxford. All of them have Sarcoptic Mange and were badly matted. All have seen a vet and have been treated.
They were picked up over the course of 2 days and we don’t believe there are any more.
Similar dogs were picked up in Hamilton and in Waterloo. Looks like a large breeder dump in 3 different areas.
We are just making people aware in case someone may know who dumped these poor dogs .
We would like to thank Brian, who helped monitor the traps and called when aome were trapped. Dan for grabbing two and taking some pretty bad bites while doing it. Helping Paws for setting the traps. Our wonderful vet , Oxford County Vet for taking 5 in at one time and taking such good care of them.
And Mattie’s Place who will be taking all 7 as well as some from the other areas that found them.
Please do not contact us for adoption as they are all going to rescue. They won’t be available with the rescue for a while as well so please monitor their page before contacting them.

Robbie has sat for weeks upon weeks.. now his 2nd month is wrapping up... and not one single call to adopt.

We've had other dogs get 40 calls within 1 hour of their post but this cute boy who already has some training and manners and wants nothing more then to be in a home feeling loved and cherished like he deserves ..where are the people to find him ?..

Please give Robbie a quick share today. It could mean the world changes for him♡

Please watch. Tons of fawns are snatched from their mothers at this time of year. Rehab centres fill up and then have no room for the ones that actually need help. If you are unsure, call a professional and ask.

Robbie was found outside the YMCA in Brantford and was never claimed. Hes such a smart guy with some training already put into him. We don't understand why he wasn't claimed but he will make a great pet for someone!

He already knows how to sit, shake, lay down and speak!!

Crate trained.

Gets super excited to play with other dogs. Unsure about cats but he is very respectful when you ask him to listen.

Hes a higher energy dog who will need lots of walks/exercise to keep his mind busy.

Robbie walks moderately well on leash but will need work on his heeling.

Hes mouthy sometimes when he gets excited and needs reminders that hands aren't chew toys

Hes correctable and redirectable and super food driven

Robbie will need to return to us June 10 for his neuter. He is fully vaccinated and ready for adoption

Marley is a 4 month old Female retriever x shepherd mix with soulful brown eyes and a very submissive personality

She will be a bigger dog
Looking for a family!!

Marley would do best with a home where someone is home more then not. She needs training and routine! She loves to play and is a very typical large breed puppy who is teething and testing boundaries. She loves kids but is jumpy and nippy! She has not had any cat exposure but is still young.

This girl came to us as a found stray and remains unclaimed. Shes a beautiful sweet pup with so much potential- really needs training to start asap! She starts out shy and then once she knows you're shes all over you

Shes available for adoption now!!

If you have another dog we require you to bring it out to meet her prior to adoption

She must return to us the morning of June 10th for her spay appointment

Shes fully vaccinated and has been dewormed and microchipped.

A kind reminder to please watch out for turtles on the road. Found this little Blandings turtle in the middle of the road and moved it to safety a few feet off the road. Found out from Hobbistee that these turtles are in fact endangered so hopefully it got to where it was going. Always bring them across in the direction they are heading. Please be kind and help them ❤️🥰🐢

Update: pound dog rescue has both of the pups. If anyone is interested in adoption, please go to their website and fill out an application.

Update: Both puppies have pulled through and are now at the kennel. They are not up for adoption, we are hoping to place them in rescue. Thaks again to everyone who sent prayers and donated ! You are all do much appreciated! ❤️🥰🐾

This is what backyard breeding looks like. These 2 pups were dumped in a park in the City of Brantford. Both are Parvo positive. Both are fighting for their lives at our vet. It’s not fair. They didn’t ask to be dumped or to be sick. Backyard breeders do not care about vaccines, they don’t care about inbreeding. All they care about of how much money they can line their pockets with and when they are unable to sell or the pups get sick, they get dumped. Not only are these puppies lives affected but, other dogs that may get walked in that park are also at risk if they are not vaccinated. Cats are also at risk. The only way we can stop backyard breeding is by not buying from them. As long as they are selling pups, they will continue to breed and puppies like these ones will continue to suffer. Please do not buy from backyard breeders. Adopt from pounds rescues and SPCAs: please pray for these 2 little souls , they definitely will need it.

Wayward Paws helps us immensely with our infant and young wildlife. If they are closed
Down, we will have no where for them to
Go. Please share their post and reach out the the City. I don’t think they understand the repercussions there will be for young wildlife.

It has been brought to our attention that we need to go public with our situation at hand and the reason we are temporarily closed...our city has decided that we are classified as a "business" and not allowed to rehab wildlife in our current zoning area...we do not agree of course and have been rehabbing in our city for the last 10 years without any issue until 2024. We had a couple of complaints at that time about strawberries being eaten in the middle of the night by squirrels and someone's beans had been nibbled on...now most of us know that squirrels are diurnal and are not responsible for the strawberries...these animals are not "ours", everyone has them in the backyard...now with all this being said, it has brought attention to our backyard facility and the fact that we rehab in our backyard...yes, we do, but they are of no danger to the public because they are under lock and key, and we are trying to do our part to keep the ecosystem in balance...also... no one pays us to do this...we pay out of pocket and do have donations from the general public if they can do so...we are not out to cause issues, we just want to do this in peace, so if you can find it in your heart to write a letter to someone in Woodstock city council, it would be appreciated...this is the link to the council if you so wish to support us...https://www.cityofwoodstock.ca/en/city-governance/council-and-council-meetings.aspx... we have appreciated you all for being our followers and helping us in our cause...right now we are devastated and need all the support we can get...thank you so much for being there for us!

Update!

Our little guy was able to come back to the kennel last night and is doing well now on oral meds. He had to stay in clinic for so long bc he wasn’t eating and had to get meds by intravenous. He still has some other hurdles to over come unrelated to the pneumonia but he will be going to a rescue on Tuesday. Thank you so much for everyone who donated. We had almost enough to cover all his costs! We are greatly appreciative to every one of you ! ❤️🐾

Update : If you are not comfortable sending
Us an etransfer , our vet has agreed to take donations and put them on our bill. It is Oxford county veterinary in Woodstock. He is being transferred tonight to Brant Norfolk Emergency Vet in Brantford and they will be fine taking donations as well

We hate to ask but we could really use a little financial help for a really special dog in our care who is currently fighting for his life at the vet

He came in as a very neglected boy and is struggling still. We are not able to share photos of this dog at this time.

Unfortunately this boy arrived very sick. His condition was improving but he has developed pneumonia and needed hospitalization for about a week.

His care costs are climbing fast and we expect his vet bill to be close to $5000 by the weekend.

This is out of our pocket as he has been with us a few weeks now. We want to help and would do it regardless. However these expenses are hard on us. If you could help with any donation even $2 goes a long way
