Adopt me!!

Shurie
Female
1 year old smaller doodle
45lbs

This girl came in as a stray and remains unclaimed.

Friendly with all people She meets. She can be a little unruly initially with her jumping and needs to be corrected at first. She does settle.

She is okay with other dogs as long as properly introduced. Can be nervous of some at first but is super friendly with others.
Unsure how she is with cats
Aside from Jumping up A Lot she Needs to learn some manners/respect as she was likely not taught much as a puppy.

Sheena is a very typical retriever /lab x poodle mix with the energy they come along with. Reseach on doodles is recommended before adoption.

She will come vaccinated, chipped, heartworm tested and spayed for her adoption Fee of $450.
We can not guarantee and highly doubt she is hypoallergenic so please do not call to ask this thank you!!

If you'd like to adopt Sheena please call 519 469 3247 and leave a detailed message -We will call you back within 48 hours.

Some of you May Remember Miley. She came
In as a stray back in July 2023 severely matted and with a bad eye injury. We had the vet clean her up and remove her eye. A dear friend of ours, Julie agreed to take Miley into her home as a foster and of course, the kind soul that Julie is, could not let her leave. Sadly , after 23 months of living a loving life with Julie and her family , Miley has crossed the rainbow bridge. Miley did not have an easy life. She had lots of medical problems from the abuse/neglect she endured prior to her coming into our care but she led a happy, well loved life with Julie and her family and had visited us a few times over the past couple of years. We are forever grateful to Julie and her family for taking in Miley and giving her the best life she could have had. Our sincere condolences go out to them in this time of grief at the loss of their beloved Miley. Rest in peace sweet girl. We will miss you ❤️💔🌈

Adopt me!

Gloria
10 months
Female
French bulldog x Beagle x jack Russell x
30-35lbs (she's really quite small)

This busy girl joined us as a stray
She remains unclaimed.
She was quite thin when she arrived. She is still young but not a puppy.

Gloria is the cutest and silliest little girl with so much personality. She is active and needs a home that will keep her brain and her legs busy or she will get herself into trouble.

Gloria is a bit excited on leash and needs to work on pulling
She is good in the car.
Gloria has met a few kids and loves them. She jumps up a lot and is really excited so she needs reminders to settle.

When meeting other dogs she is a little over the top and definitely would benefit from more socializing
Her best canine companion would be a larger netuered male. Too small and she will likely hurt them. Most larger females don't like her energy.

Gloria needs room to run or an owner who walks a lot. She would do well in the country where she can run or with a big fenced yard.

Gloria would be a great family dog if she had some training put into her. She's a perfect size and super affectionate girl.

Adoption fee is $500 plus hst which includes her Vaccines, microchip and spay.

If you have a other dog we will require a meet prior to adopting.

If you're interested in adopting Gloria please call 519 469 3247 and leave a detailed message

Adopted ♥️

Tucker
9 months
Male
German shepherd x (border collie/aussie?)
40lbs

This little guy was found running at large terrified. He was contained in a city back yard and thankfully with some team work was contained before he got really hurt. When he first arrived he had sore paws with burns from running on all 4 paw pads.

With a few days on pain medication and being hand fed he learned he was in a safe place that just want to see him feel brave and confident.

Over the last 3 weeks he has become a whole new puppy and even showing some of his sassy side.

Tucker loves kids and is often more confident around less threatening humans. He has not has any exposure to little kids (under 5)

Tucker is just a young boy who is in desperate need of a solid foundation with an Adopter who is committed to him. He's smart and food driven. He can be shy and skiddish and is a bit of a flight risk, that said, he warms up very quickly with some treats and praise.

Tucker can be leary of some dogs but with proper intros is fine after a good walk together. He will need to meet any dogs in the home prior to being adopted.
We are not able to cat test.
He does okay in a vehicle.

Tucker is fully vaccinated, chipped and neutered.
Adoption fee is $500 plus hst.

If you're interested in adopting Tucker please leave a detailed message at 519 469 3247

Adoption PENDING
NO LONGER TAKING CALLS
(We expect a fair bit of interest in Floyd, please give us a few days to return calls- we will update the post if he's no longer available)

Floyd
1 year old
Springer spaniel mix
45lbs

This handsome young boy showed up on a rural property with a brand new harness and collar on. Hes been shared all over in various groups and yet not one call to claim him
Hes really lovable and goofy and such a character. Not the typical 'stray'

We have had many inquiries to adopt or to foster him over the last week however we wanted to ensure he was neutered and vet checked prior to leaving.

He is now ADOPTABLE!

Floyd is a great dog that has likely been quite spoiled most of his puppyhood. He is a little but obnoxious but he responds well to correction.
He is very great driven but doesn't care much for boring old kibble

We introduced him to a couple of young friendly dogs and he was very eager to play. He will need to work on his manners and controlled play is suggested as he does have some naughty behaviors like jumping up and hu***ng. We are not able to cat test.
Hes great in a vehicle. Walks moderately well on a leash.

Floyd is good with kids, however he can be a very slight resource guarder with high value treats and bones. For this reason we are looking for a home with kids 10 and up who will be respectful of his space when he's eating or in his crate.

This boy just had a check up and all his vaccines, a heartworm test and was neutered. Hes ready to find his Forever home now.

His best suited home would be with a large secure back yard or a rural property. Another dog would be okay - we would require you being them along to meet prior to bringing him home.

Adoption fee $500 plus hst

I'd you're interested in adopting Floyd please leave a detailed message at 519 469 3247

Just a reminder. It is fledgling season. A fledgling is a young bird that has left the nest but is not yet fully capable of independent flight. They are typically feathered and capable of hopping, walking, or flitting, and are still under the care of their parents, who continue to feed and protect them. Please , unless you can see physical injuries, leave them alone. We have had multiple calls of people claiming these birds are injured when they are not. Yes, being on the ground outside puts them at risk, but being raised by their parents, and not is a wildlife rehab, is the best thing for them. The rescues are filling up fast and eventually there will be no more room which means, we have no where for them to go. We cannot rehab them without a license to do so which leaves only one alternative. If you aren’t sure , ask .
Thanks

Husky x lab x airdale terrier?

This sweet girl came in as a stray with 3 other dogs who have all found homes. Poor Linda remains unclaimed. We know it's her turn to find her forever too

Linda is a very cuddly, silly and busy girl. She can be apprehensive of some men but warms up fast.
She has this scruffy beard making her super unique and cute as heck!

Shes going to need a home that has time to walk her a lot especially initially while she decompresses from the shelter life
She appears to like other dogs who can match her energy. She's bossy!

We are not able to cat test.

Linda is an active and adventurous girl who loves a long walk or play outside. She enjoys other dogs but can be pushy with smaller or younger dogs. She also has some high value resource Guarding with other dogs. Shes fine with people touching her food and toys

Her preference in homes is one with a big secure back yard, someone home more then not. Another dog would be great- one that is larger then her is also recommended.

Her adoption fee is $450 plus hst

New update:
No owner came forward Molly will be transfered to Happy's Place retirement home for dogs

We do not foster out of our kennel. Once her stray hold is up, since she is up in age, she will be going to a rescue that specializes in elderly dogs. She will need special care and the rescue will give that to her.

This sweet old girls name is Molly. She was left the woods around the 16th Line and Oxford road 8 in East Zorra Tavistock with a bowl of food and water. She has a chip but we are unable to get ahold of owners most likely because info on chip has not been updated. She is 14 years old. Someone must know who she belongs to. What kind of person would dump something so sweet? If anyone had any information on who she belongs to (hopefully not the person who dumped her) please call 519-469-3247 and leave a message.

Adopted!!

RUBY
10 months- 1 Year
Female
45lbs
Pointer cross

This sweet girl came in as a stray and remains unclaimed. We got some tips about where she came from and found out her name. We are confident we can find this girl a much better suited home.

Ruby is a very friendly and excitable girl
Shes going to need a home that has time to walk her a lot especially initially while she decompresses from the shelter life
She appears to like other dogs who can match her energy. She's very playful
We are not able to cat test.

Ruby is a very clean dog who we assume is house broken. She is not Destructive and she isn't a big barker. She pulls a bit on a leash and jumps up too much -once she gets a little training in those areas she will be perfect.

Her preference in homes is one with a big secure back yard, someone home more then not. Older kids (8 and up) as we don't know how she is with really little ones and shes quite busy. She met a 10 year old and just wanted pets. Dog savvy kids is what she needs.

Her adoption fee is $450 plus hst
This includes all her Vaccines, her microchip,.heartworm test and spay

If interested in adopting her please call 519 469 3247 and leave a detailed message.

If you have another dog we will ask that you bring them to meet her prior to adopting.

Adopted!

Lauren
Female
Bernese mountain dog
70+ lbs needs a diet.
2-3 years old

*prefer to have her adopted with Lenon but open to other options if they're the right fit*

Lauren arrived desperately needing a grooming. Unclaimed strays, her and her friend Lenon came in nearly 2 weeks ago and not one phone call looking for them.

Were not sure their story but they're both incredibly sweet.
Lauren has a few less manners and does jump up when she's excited. She also pulls a little more on her leash
She's younger then Lenon and she's very overweight. Due to her breed it's not idea for her joints so we are working with her and a diet and she will need to have her food regulated in her new home and more exercise too.

Bernese mountain dogs are great family pets but do require a lot of maintenance. We are hoping to find homes for them where they can be indoor dogs and loved and cherished the way they deserve.

Lauren will require dog savvy kids or older kids. She can be a little rude unintentionally.

In order to thrive and avoid wandering these dogs will require a secure fenced yard or underground fencing.

If you have a other dog you will be required to bring them out to meet prior to going home.

Lauren has been updated on all her vaccines, microchipped, heartworm tested and she will be spayed included in her adoption fee

Adoption fee is $550
OR
Adoption fee for Both Lauren and Lennon is $850

Please share and help us find them their forever home(s)

We are looking for a home for them together first. If youd like to only adopt one you may leave a message however we may not call those people back until the end of the weekend as we are hopeful to find them a place together.
