Halloween is Saturday, which means a doorbell every few minutes and a lot of excited (or nervous) dogs.

How much dry food does your cat actually need? Often less than the scoop suggests.

A typical 4 kg spayed or neutered indoor cat needs about 240 calories a day. Most dry cat foods run 350 to 500 calories per cup, so that's often around half to two-thirds of a cup, split into two or more meals. Check the calories per cup on your bag, and a kitchen scale makes it easy.
