Meet Brigitte!

Brigitte has been surrounded by animals her whole life, growing up on a hobby farm with all sorts of farm animals. However, her love for dogs and horses has always been special. She truly enjoys spending time with her dog, being in the barn with her horses, and barrel racing in the summer months.

After obtaining her Agriculture diploma in 2019, she aspired to pursue a career involving animals or livestock. However, she began working at Pet Valu again shortly after college and eventually became the store manager. She has since left Pet Valu, and now she wants to pursue a career taking care of people's pets and farm animals, as she knows how tricky it can be to get away from the house.

Having grown up with a number of family dogs that she loved dearly, in January 2023, she decided to welcome her first dog, Raven, a spoiled and intelligent golden retriever/lab cross.

Her passion for animals is evident, and she ensures the safety and enjoyment of your furry friends.

Brigitte will be taking care of most of the farm sitting services.

Meet Cassidy! 🤍

Cassidy grew up in Guelph, her love for animals started at a young age, with owning her first dog at the age of two. Since then, she has surrounded herself with pets, she now has two dogs, two cats, and several betta fish that she rescues.

For the past 3 years, she has worked at Pet Valu, gaining invaluable knowledge about pet care. Her background is in sport management, but her ultimate dream is to become a firefighter, a role combing my passion for helping people and animals.

Rescuing a couple dogs has been one of the most rewarding experience of her life, it opened her eyes and heart to many ways on how she can make a difference. Through Paws and Pals she is excited to share her knowledge and love for animals with other who are just as passionate as she is.

Cassidy will be taking care of all the cat nail trims, so please get in touch with her if your cats nails need to be trimmed.

We're Brigitte and Cassidy, lifelong friends with a shared passion for animal care. Our story began way back in Grade 3 at John McCrae Public School in Guelph. Over the years, our friendship blossomed through elementary, middle, and high school, even as we pursued different paths in college. Eventually, we both found our way back to Guelph, where fate (and a love for animals) brought us together once again at Pet Valu.

With range of experience between us, we're excited to offer a variety of services, all tailored to fit you and your pets specific needs.
