April showers bring the ✨BEST✨ May flowers… and with the flowers come pesky bugs like ticks and unwanted parasites we don’t think about. If your pup isn’t on a preventative, they should be! 💐🐞
Here are some tips and tricks to help prevent those nasty backpackers:
1) Regular Pet Check Ups - schedule routine check ups with your care provider to ensure everything is run safely and smoothly.
2) Monthly Preventatives - whether it be from your vet, the pet store, or something holistic like an E.M. Collar (which we love over here for extra security), anything will help. Talk to your vet or local pet store about your safe and affordable options.
3) Check for Ticks - having a blow dryer on hand is amazing but if you don’t, be sure to thoroughly run your hands and fingers over and through her pets fur. Not only may you find a pesky little critter, but a lump or bump you may have never seen. And, a good massage never hurts 😉
4) Healthy Diet - I’m not talking about healthy food (though this is a plus!), I’m talking 💩. Don’t let your pup eat s**t or animal s**t.
5) Avoid Stagnant Water - It serves as a breeding ground for harmful bacteria, parasites, and toxins that can cause severe harm to your furry friend.
We’re halfway through May and appointments are filling up. If you need help with your 4 legged friend, please reach out with a DM or call and I’ll be happy to help 🤎
