We’re getting ready for our 5th Annual Shoe Drive happening Sunday, December 14th from 10AM–4PM at Body & Sole (8 Loyalist Drive, Unit 9)!

We’re asking you to start collecting now — but please don’t drop off your shoes until the day of the event.

We’re looking for gently used shoes and boots of all sizes to support Community Partners for Success and Grace Inn Shelter.
And remember… if you wouldn’t wear them yourself, please don’t donate them 👟✨

To My Valued Customers & Community,

After more than three wonderful years of serving you and your beloved pets, I’ve made the difficult decision to close The Fox Hollow Pet Boutique this Fall.

This choice hasn’t come lightly.

Like many small businesses, we’ve felt the effects of a challenging economy and slower-than-hoped-for growth. I’ve poured my heart into this store — and while I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built together, I believe this is the right time to step away.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Your support, loyalty, kind words, and wagging tails have meant the world to me. Whether you came in for a bag of food, a meaningful chat, or trusted me with your pet’s care, it’s been an honour to be a small part of your lives.

As I prepare to close, everything in the store will be on sale 25-50% off (*except food & litter) starting now. If you’ve been meaning to stock up on your favourite items like treats, now is the perfect time. My official closing date will be announced soon, but I’m expecting to remain open through most of September.

**FINAL NAIL TRIM CLINIC: We will still welcome Kristin from the Cobourg Pet Nanny on Saturday, August 30 from 12-1pm for our final walk-in monthly nail trim clinic.**

**SPECIAL ORDERS: I will also still be able to custom order most items if you’re hoping to stock up. If you pop in soon, I’ll do my best to help you out.**

This isn’t goodbye just yet — I hope to see you in-store over the next few weeks. Let’s finish this chapter with more wagging tails and warm smiles.

Please pay special attention to your 4 legged friends in this heat wave!

☀️ Summer begins this weekend — and a major heat wave is right behind it. ⚠️

From overheating and sunburn to dehydration and heatstroke, extreme temperatures can be life-threatening for both dogs and other pets.

This quick guide shares simple steps to help keep your dog safe in the summer heat. While it’s especially important for brachycephalic breeds, dogs with dark coats, senior dogs and those with underlying health conditions, high temperatures pose a risk to all dogs.

The safest place for your pet during extreme heat is indoors, ideally with air conditioning.

We also carry products that can help if you do need to be outside with your pets like cooling mats and bandanas 💦

You notice a new, friendly cat in your neighborhood? What should you do?

You want to try to locate an owner. If a cat is friendly, it either has an owner or used to have an owner. Cats do not become friendly and tame on their own - it is a learned behavior, based on past interactions with humans.

😻 You can check with your neighbors first.
😻 You can take the kitty to the closest vet or shelter to be scanned for a microchip free of charge. They can also check to see if the cat has been spayed/neutered if it is not obvious.
😻 You can post a picture on social media. Look for local Lost & Found sites to share with.
😻 You can report the found cat to your local shelter.
😻 You should not move the cat indoors unless it is sick or injured or the weather is extreme. That way the cat is free to find its' way back home.

If there is no identification, no microchip and the cat is unaltered, you should make arrangements to have them spayed or neutered ASAP or reach out to a TNR program to help you get this done. No matter where the cat ends up eventually, he/she (and their owner, if they have one) should be eternally grateful for the assistance.

Please check the stray hold guidelines in your state before rehoming a friendly cat! These guidelines are in place to allow an owner enough time to come forward to reclaim their pet.
