Apparently if you need rain, booking preg checks is the thing to do! 🤷🏻‍♀️

This is the second breeding season on my own, and both preg check days have been an absolute mud fest! BUT I’m not complaining, we needed the moisture.

This spring was tough.
8 expected foals, with the result of 3 live and healthy foals on the ground.

We have been very fortunate to have some exceptional foaling seasons over the past few years. I know every breeder has their share of trying times, and I guess this year is an example of just that. In the fall we even had a load of hay catch on fire 🤦🏻‍♀️

Looking on the positive side, all of our mares are doing well and we will continue to gear up for next year.

Take this time to love on your horses a little extra - you may not know just how much time and effort went into creating them. The stars aligned just perfectly, and they are a result of that! 🌟
