🚨 Exciting News at Hall Equine Services 🚨

We are very excited to announce that Dr. Alex Dorscht will be joining Hall Equine Services as an associate equine veterinarian beginning July 15, 2026.

Alex is a graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College and is currently completing an equine internship at Woodside Equine Clinic in Virginia, where she has been involved in ambulatory medicine, emergency care, sports medicine, surgery, and hospitalized patient care.

Originally from Kitchener, Ontario, Alex developed her passion for horses through riding, breeding farm experience, and hands-on care of mares and foals. Her professional interests include:
• Equine dentistry and oral pain management
• Sports medicine and lameness
• Emergency medicine
• Respiratory and upper airway medicine
• Reproduction and foal care
• Preventative health and client education

What stood out most to us was Alex’s enthusiasm for building long-term relationships with clients and becoming part of the local equine community.

Adding Alex to the team is an exciting step forward for Hall Equine Services and will help us continue improving appointment availability, emergency coverage, and long-term support for the horses and clients we serve.

We are very excited to welcome Alex to Hall Equine Services and look forward to introducing her to all of you this summer.

Dr. Hall had a great time speaking with a fantastic group of local 4-H kids last night about general horse health and equine veterinary care. 🐴

The evening focused on practical horse health topics including how to perform a basic health check, taking a horse’s temperature, listening to heart and lung sounds, recognizing signs that a horse may not be feeling well, and general foaling and newborn foal care. The group also had the opportunity for some hands-on learning with the horses.

It’s always encouraging to see so much enthusiasm and interest in horses and animal health from the next generation of horse people.
