Meet Tabisey....a 7 month old Great Pyrenees pup. Yes it's true...this 90lb+ giant is just 7 months old. At this age many dogs are in the developmental stage commonly recognized as "the fear phase". Many pups shrink back away from things they were before confident with, the bold can become nervous and hide or react out of fear. This is a crucial time frame to work with the dogs current processing ability, as they learn and absorb more of their surroundings and situations. They need calm, patient and loving encouragement, steadiness.
Tabs was very nervous and shy and even tried to dissuade entering by laying completely flat and holding onto the sidewalk with a firm plant, like all big and heavy dogs know how to do so well 🤦. But Dad did not give up and brought him in. And it only took a quick sniff for Tabs to realize that he was in the best treat store ever... and he was being hand served specially prepared beef liver treats. And the spoiling did not stop there. Soon he was taken into his very own private space, where even his hard working feet were massaged and his rugged nails were trimmed. Then he was offered his very own pedestal to stand on, and well that was fit for a king. As he realizes that once he's on the "pedestal" treats appear and drop directly into his mouth. The petting and cuddles continue and he just couldn't help but be lulled into a serene slumber with the massaging brush.

Tab's enthusiastic kisses in the end is what makes me know I have the best job ever!
