Well well look who it is our favourite corgi Nellie🌻

Nellies here for two weeks on a refresher and handling. We always love to see her crazy bum here she certainly keeps us on our toes! Zooula is this gal best friend as well so they get to spend time together again as well! Lots of exposure work will be her main goal as well as getting her more comfortable when uncertain things arrive. She’s been rocking her training but she’s a girl with an attitude that occasionally needs an adjustment. We look forward to working Nellie the next two weeks!

Sweet sweet Billie🐰

Little Billie bean has been boarding with us and enjoying time with all her friends. Like a little shadow she’s always there to enjoy some pets and cuddles! Such a treat when she comes to board!

Our in home boarding is great for all dogs and their comfort. They are able to have a home away from home. In a safe environment to relax in without stress of staying in a loud boarding facility. Every stay is catered to your dog’s individual needs.

Rewinding to yesterday Luna🌸

She had a full day of fun during her day train day! Luna is such a bright and bubbly gal to train for obedience and play sessions! We learned she loves to play frisbee so we have added that to her program along side of her obedience training. Play has really helped her gain confidence in new places and her dog reactivity! There was lots happening at the park which she handled like a champ with no reactions. Of course got to have a play with Stinki!

Our day train program gives dogs a great place to go while your working. It’s like daycare but better! Here your dog gets to work on new skills, exposure to different environments, practicing being housed around other dogs for boarding stays and lots of fun making new friends!

Crazy Macho Nacho🌮

Nacho is on his way home today after his board and train. He is full of spit and vinegar with a dog attitude. Training with him is fun but also a challenge, he certainly keeps you on your toes and to think out of the box. Nacho is young and still has a journey ahead of him but he is one to remember. I look forward to seeing everything he accomplishes.

These guys often get the bad ankle biting reputation but that comes from misunderstanding. We have to remember these guys are so little, the world is scary above when your only four pounds. Also have to remember chihuahuas are bred to have a big and bold personalitys. That combo can lead to little feisty trouble markers whos boundaries often get pushed. They have so much potential to be fun and awesome little dogs when worked and treated like a dog.

So so incredibly proud of Birdie🐦‍⬛

Birdie was a pretty severe case of dog reactivity she’d blow up at the slightest sight of another dog and would lock on hard. Over the last bit she has taken tremendous steps forward in her progress. Today she was able to play with another dog for the first time. While also being able to be around another dog calmly and be called away from them. She also was able to be housed around other dogs with no blow ups during her stay. Birdie and her incredible owners have been working hard together getting her here!

Training isn’t just to help solve problems but to build confidence in one’s self and your dog. A relationship that’s held together with trust and clear communication. Doing so will make you unstoppable at tackling whatever comes your way.

Welcome Sonny☀️

Sonny here is our newest board and train coming all the way from Lloyd! He will be here for a reactivity and obedience program! Sonny is a super sweet dude with some teenage antics. We will get him on the right path for adulthood and are super excited to see his progress over the next few weeks! Already has been making new friends and settled in wonderfully!

We have limited spots open for our board and trains so make sure to grab one before they’re full. Perfect for those hard to get through behaviours to start you and your dog on a better journey together!

Early morning for Birdie🐦‍⬛

This sweet girl is boarding for the weekend! Gonna beat the chilly weather with some fun activities and its nail trim day for the crew here! Birdie is thinking I should’ve let her sleep in a but longer but we got fun things to do!

Our boarding is based around each dogs individual needs that also follow their training plan. Birdie was once super dog reactive now she can share space around other dogs with no big blow ups like before. She is a very smart girl and couldn’t be more proud of her progress.

Hello Ollie🐙

Ollie came from Lloyd today for a private session with his awesome dad! They have such a great relationship and have worked very hard on his obedience, however some sneaky anxiety got to him. So we worked on the right steps of overcoming and getting him to come out of his shell. New environments and people are his biggest struggles which he did fantastic with today!

Ollie got to be in a new space and make friends with a new person in one session. Movement and play is always our first go to with anxious dogs like Ollie. These guys are typically stuck in their flight and freeze modes. So getting them to loosen up even just a little bit is huge! Love seeing these dogs come out of their shells and tackle hard things!

Lady🌸 and Nacho🌮 barred the chilly weather today for some fun sessions!

These two pups are full of jam and fun! Always ready for action even with the cold. The park was jammed packed today with lots of activities around and they both kept on task! Today they worked recall, leash walking, reading body cues and most importantly the art of doing nothing!

Nacho also got to work on his reactivity to people with so many people there. He’s come along way and chooses to check in instead of reacting! He’s such a fun little man we are so proud of him!

New Lady💗 on the block!

This sweet gal came for a visit to fine tune some skills as she’s growing up. She’s been a super great puppy but is on her way into teenage hood! We always recommend going back to basics around this time. Behaviour changes usually start to come up around this time so if your basics are refreshed it makes tackling those changes a lot easier! Lady is on her way to become a well rounded

Who’s the Zealous Crew?

Let me introduce you to Tavora🩷 the Greyhound and Stinki❤️ the Dutch shepherd!

Tavora🩷 is my two year old greyhound who often assists your dog get comfortable or learn how to work around something spunky and funny looking. She always down for any kind of adventure or activity. You might see her come out as a distraction for reactivity once your dog is ready. She’s usually the final boss for your dog with her weird antics.

Stinki❤️ is my one year old Dutch shepherd who is the first one your dog meets when arriving at Zealous for training. He’s a chill fun kind of guy who takes nothing seriously. Stinki is great for the new comers and puppy’s learning the ropes. He loves to go on training feild trips and bugging his big sister Tavora.

These guys help so many dogs that come through my hands I couldn’t do it without them. They might just be your dog’s new best friend! If you have any questions about our dogs or programs let me know I’m happy to answer them!
