What we need.

SO proud of this young girl!! At just 22 months old (& just 7 weekends after finishing her GCh)), Bambi has completed all the requirements for her Canadian Bronze Grand Championship!

While she technically had more than enough points for her GCh last October, CKC rules state the dog has to get at least 1 point *after* they turn a year old, to be awarded the title. Bambi didn't see a show ring this year until the end of May, banged off 3 x 3 point majors & a BOSS that weekend for her GCh title; and then went on to definitively finish her Bronze GCh with largely BOB/BOS wins.

I had a really hard time with this ad… ALL of our dogs have been influential for us in some way. In the end, I figured I’d pick a few of the dogs who’ve represented our breed admirably over the years.
Our unending thanks to everyone who has played a part in their success… we couldn’t have done it without you!!

2024 is done and gone! It was a very busy year for us in many ways, both for our dogs & in our personal lives (including more medical schtuff)… but we managed to make it out and about a few times!

Our year ends with 3 of our dogs making it into the breed's Top Ten standings:

National BOSS BPISS MBBPIG Can Ch Bendegeit's Elluva Good Time (Bambi)
- Canadian Champion at 7 months old
- Best Opposite & Best Puppy at the Canadian National Specialty at just 9.5 months old!
- Has all the points needed for her Grand Championship (10 months old)
- Bambi finishes the year as the #1 Female, & #3 for the Breed

Multi National BISS Can GChS Bendegeit's Arson Around (Gromit)
- Best in Specialty Show as a Veteran - this is Gromit's 2nd National BISS!
- #5 Mastiff in Canada with only 4 show weekends

BPIG Can Ch Bendegeit's Zero Fox Given (Edgar)
- Canadian Champion at 10 months old
- BPIG at 6 months old
- #1 Mastiff Puppy in Canada
- Despite being under his sister's shadow, Edgar finishes 2024 as the #8 Mastiff

I'm a little late in posting these, as we were waiting for photos.

After a somewhat harrowing 8 months, we had our National Specialty this past weekend. I know in my previous post I thanked everyone (or as many people as I could remember!) for helping to make it a success.

So this post is a little bit of a brag for my own dogs, and also an additional THANK YOU to our major suppliers/sponsors of prizes.

MNBISS GCHS Bendegeit's Arson Around
- Gromit is now a Multi Best in Specialty Show winner... once at the age of 5, and again at over 7 years old! Thank you Trina for piloting Gromit to his 2nd BISS - even though I told you he was retiring this year!
- Gromit was also awarded Best Veteran in Specialty Sweepstakes.

BOSS BPISS CanCh Bendegeit's Elluva Good Time
- Bambi is a Best Opposite and Best Puppy in Specialty winner at the tender age of just 10 months!! I am so excited for this girl, her attitude, and everything she's accomplished so far! Thank you Tammy - for taking on my redheaded firecracker & making her look like a million bucks!

BVOSS MBPIG Can Ch Bendegeit's Ruby Tuesday
- Wednesday came out (even though she doesn't really like showing), and was awarded Best Opposite Veteran!

BPIG BBPIG Bendegeit's Zero Fox Given
- Our handsome trouble maker Edgar was awarded Best Puppy Specialty Sweepstakes! He'll get the hang of things, and get those last two championship points!

This year marks our Club's 30th Anniversary Specialty 🇨🇦 🐾 🍁 🐾 🎉🎉

Our little Club is experiencing a tough year, with many members dealing with a variety of personal life challenges and finding the time and energy needed to run a National breed club.
