Meet sweet Benedict! He is waiting in a nice shady spot in the cool grass.
This fella came into our care after being sighted wandering for some time. Not much is known about Bene. He is very friendly once he feels safe and comfortable with a place and person. He still has some trouble with being leashed and will splay into a fearful pancake when he is uncertain about where he is going. Benedict needs some peace and quiet and a good fenced in yard to thrive and come out of his shell. He loves to eat, and some good food is a sure way into his heart. The slower you go with Bene, the more patience and kindness you show him the more he wants to be touched and loved. Benedict is in real need of an extra special adopter who has the time and compassion to nurture the sparks of warmth and happiness we have seen in him. Benedict is ready to meet potential adopters and will require several interactions to allow him time to feel comfortable. Having said that, Bene is quickly discovering that the more friends he makes, the better life is. Bring on the new friends and the treats!
