🦎 Happy Reptile Awareness Day from all of us at Prairie Exotics! 🐍🐢

Today is all about celebrating the incredible, scaly, slithery, and shelled creatures we love so much!

We feel incredibly fortunate and grateful every single day to share our passion for these amazing animals with our community. Beyond the fascination, our biggest mission is promoting genuine appreciation, proper care, and responsible keeping. Whether it’s a tiny gecko, a curious tortoise, or an impressive snake, every exotic animal deserves a dedicated, knowledgeable, and loving home.

A big thank you to all our fellow reptile lovers, exotic pet owners, and supporters who make this journey so rewarding. 💚

👇 Drop a photo of your beloved scales, shells, or exotic friends in the comments—we’d love to see them!

Yesterday I stopped by the infamous Chris Biggs aka The Mad Aquarist and Realm Natura to check out the zoo he's building. Wow, the attention to detail, the decor, the area specific enclosures and solid list of animals is more than impressive. He was kind enough to gift us some plants to throw in our enclosures.

We had a great time at Animal Club last night at the West St. Paul Recreation - Access Centre. We made custom coloring pages with the kids names they got to color after meeting some of our animals during the interactive presentation.
