I believe that if you listen closely enough, they do! Paying attention to the small details is important, and listening to those signs right away can save them from becoming big problems in the long run.

Horses backs:

Correct schooling is really important for our equines and will often depend on what discipline we compete them in.
The below picture shows how a hollow back stacks all the dorsal processes together and often a cause of kissing spine.
If you have a breed prone to this problem really important to make sure the horse can use his back correctly and lift it.
There are schooling techniques and exercises that can help with this.
Physical therapy is also an important part in maintaining a good back too.
