Happy 3rd work anniversary to one of our Small Animal Veterinarian’s, Dr. Stephanie! Over the last few years, Stephanie has worked hard finessing many skills including doing additional courses for Echocardiograms in pets. This is a huge asset at our clinic. Outside of the clinic you can find Stephanie playing many instruments or hiking with her dog Astro! Thank you, Stephanie for all of your hard work.

Attention Dawson Creek dog/cat owners: our local vet clinic is in need of blood donors! Can your furry friend help?

🩸We are looking to update our blood donor list🩸

If you:
🩸 Live within 15-30 min of the clinic
🩸Are ok with your pet being sedated
🩸Have a dog that is > 30 kg or a cat > 4.5 kg
🩸1-8 yrs of age
🩸Overall good health
🩸Fairly quiet temperament
🩸Spayed or neutered
🩸Up to date on vaccinations
🩸Hasn't been vaccinated in the last month
🩸Free of internal or external parasites
🩸Not on any current medications
🩸FeLv/FIV negative (cats)

Your pet may be a good candidate 😊
We currently have no way to store the blood so blood donation would be on an emergent type basis. The sample is collected from the jugular vein after the area has been shaved and surgically prepped. They do need to lay perfectly still so your pet may receive some level of sedation.

Happy 1st work anniversary to one of our wonderful mixed animal veterinarians, Dr. Meghan. Dr. Meghan is an upbeat and enthusiastic member of our team who has quickly become a very skilled practitioner and always embraces a challenge!

Outside of work Dr. Meghan keeps busy playing on a volleyball and softball team. She also loves to hike with her dog Paisley and snowboard in the winter. 🏔

Meet Buddy, my personal shadow and cuddle muffin 🐈‍⬛ he is microchipped and has his very own city license (he's very proud of his tags!)

Did you know the Dawson Creek requires both dogs and cats to be licensed? Make sure to get your kitties licensed (and microchipped at the vet!) so if they ever get lost, it's easier to get them back home to you 💕

Aww what a sweetie!

Look who's climbing! 🐻🤩

During her first weeks in care, our littlest bear cub patient exhibited neurological symptoms that impeded her motor skills.

Her caregivers were so excited this week to spot her climbing the branches of her enclosure, showing just how much progress she's made since intake! 🙌💯
