To finish off our week of clinics, we want to thank Ron Gillis for coming out to teach a two-day roping clinic!
Ron worked with participants of all ages and skill levels, and he is truly an amazing teacher. He is so knowledgeable and has an incredible eye for detail — he can watch how someone is swinging their rope, suggest a small adjustment, and immediately things start working better.

Ron is a patient and kind teacher and coach. This was the second time he has come to our arena for a clinic, and we are really hoping to have him back again.

Thank you, Ron, for taking the time out of your busy schedule to share your knowledge with everyone. We truly appreciate it!

Group 2 of the Marci Laye Barrel Clinic was a huge success!

I even had the chance to participate in this one, and it was an incredible experience. My favorite part of Marci’s clinics is how amazing she is as a teacher and coach. She has a unique way of teaching and holding you accountable without ever making you feel discouraged.

Marci is deeply passionate about what she does. She takes the time to ensure you fully understand each concept and how to apply it to the barrel pattern. After the clinic, many of us were talking about the confidence Marci instills in her students — it’s truly remarkable.

She pays close attention to each rider and horse, offering coaching that is tailored to everyone’s specific needs. Sometimes the adjustments she suggests are small, but they make a big difference in how your horse feels and responds. Marci helps you work through challenges and gives you the confidence to know you're on the right path.

We would like to sincerely thank Marci once again for coming out to our place and also thank all the wonderful people who participated in the clinic.

I also need to thank my family for pitching in and helping out for the 6 days of clinics we had at our place. It was so nice to be able to participate in one and that made everyone have to step up a little more than usual.

I hope you had a great time, learned a lot, and most importantly, enjoyed yourselves.

Huge thanks for being such troopers with the mud—I hope it wasn’t too much of a challenge! I also want to say how much I appreciate how clean and tidy everyone kept the arena. You were all absolutely amazing.

So grateful for those special moments in life. Thank you Mackenzie Shauffor dragging me out of the office to go for a ride after you got back from a barrel race. Mac is loving how our 4th Dawn Rae Gray baby is turning out. With 20 rides on her she handled life in the open so well, a little scared when she first stepped into the deep snow. Riding with the dogs was also a new experience that tested her at times lol!

Well no fancy vacation pics from this family, but these two are pretty cute. Wouldn’t trade them for a hot holiday.

I think this everyday.

Yesterday was a huge reminder of the amazing people in our lives because of horses.

All our amazing boarders that were our helped get things cleaned up and flowing better.

Judy Wright was busy in the barn, sweeping and shoveling p**p.

David Beriault helped with getting the frost off the door and it closing better, trenching water away from the arena (we had a little flood again from the roof), and washing the barn floor.

Gary grabbed the pick ax and went to work on the ice so we get get our trench flowing better. He may have been worried I might hurt myself our on of the innocent bystanders with it.

Huge thank you everyone. It was a wonderful day!

Every time I am in the arena I look around and love how beautiful it looks thanks to Walt. He put up the wall tin in December and January when he had some free time to come over. I can’t get over how finished it looks it is so much brighter. Once he was finished with the tin he decided that my travel panel box stalls should be upgraded to the box stalls we had bought for the barn. They had to be customized to fit in properly. Walt cut the one apart to make it fit and then used some of that one to finish the side that wasn’t quit long enough for the space.

I know it has been a while since you were done and I am sorry for not posting sooner, but huge thank you Walt. We are so happy with how it looks.
