✨ ** : Maisie!** ✨

Maisie’s adopter sent us the sweetest update, and it’s clear this little girl has truly blossomed in her new home. She’s settled in beautifully — happy, playful, and full of zoomies.

Her adopter was nervous about introductions, but Maisie has been welcomed with open paws by resident cats **Emma and Felix**. The three now share the home peacefully, and their growing friendship has been heartwarming to watch.

Maisie has completely stolen her adopter’s heart. She loves snoozing on the bed during work hours and has become such an important part of the family that her adopter “can’t imagine home without her.”

We’re so grateful to everyone who helped Maisie get to this moment — our supporters, community, and adopters make these happy endings possible. 💛🐾

✨ Meet Amy — our 1‑year‑old grey heart‑melter! ✨
Sweet, gentle, and obsessed with wet food, Amy is the kind of cat who leans in for head pets and hops into your lap for cuddles. She’s freshly spayed, had a dental, and is feeling her absolute best.

Her foster family says she’s pure joy — playful, snuggly, and full of love. She can get a little mouthy with too much excitement, so she’s hoping for a cat‑savvy home with older kids or adults.

If you’re looking for a soft‑furred sweetheart with a softer heart, Amy might be your perfect match. 💛🐾

As wildfires rage and continue to threaten communities across the province, the BC SPCA wants to remind animal guardians faced with evacuation that support is available for you and your pets!

If you have been displaced due to a wildfire situation and need access to pet food or supplies, please contact your local Emergency Support Services or your local BC SPCA community animal centre. Evacuees needing temporary housing for your pet(s) while your family is displaced, please contact the BC SPCA Animal Helpline at 1-855-622-7722 to discuss emergency boarding options – reachable from 8 am to 6 pm, seven days a week.

Here’s a rundown of current BC SPCA emergency response activities:

➡️In Kamloops:
- BC SPCA staff are on-site at the ESS centre at the McArthur Island Sport and Event Centre offering pet food, supplies, and information about additional BC SPCA services.
- Free temporary emergency boarding is available for evacuated pet guardians through the BC SPCA Kamloops community animal centre, please call the BC SPCA Animal Helpline 1-855-622-7722 to arrange.

➡️In Williams Lake:
- The BC SPCA William Lake community animal centre has been proactively evacuated and is closed to the public until further notice.
- Evacuated pet guardians requiring assistance with pet food or supplies can access support through the Cariboo Regional District Emergency Operations Centre located at 525 Proctor Street in Williams Lake.
