First fitting of the season and what a gorgeous day!

Today I got to work with the lovable 18 year old gelding Utah. Don't be fooled by his age though, he's got a lot of pep left in his step! Utah's owner barrel races and noticed some soreness while practising. We got him all mapped out and it turns out that his current saddle is sitting on the supra spinous ligament (the ligament that runs along the spine) due to a too narrow gullet AND the seat is too big for his rider, making her unbalanced. I will be helping them find a new saddle that fits them both so they can excel in their chosen sport!

Looks like it's going to be another great event! Remember to stop in that day for 10% off all feed and more. Also free BBQ - with the help of Jones' Feed Mill - sausage and hotdogs will be served. Last year proceeds from the BBQ and vendors totalled over $1800! Money went to the Trout Creek Booster Club.

Hello all my name is Megan. I am a recent student of the SaddleFit4Life Saddle Fitting Essentials course living in beautiful Powassan, Ontario. After living in Southern Ontario for the last 8 years I have finally moved back home; and I noticed a gaping need in Northern Ontario for saddle fitters. I am hoping to fill that hole, servicing North Bay and area (up to Sudbury etc as required) for all your English and western saddle fitting needs.

As someone who has a hard to fit equine partner, I know how frustrating it is to find a knowledgeable professional to help. I have gone through countless saddles, training setbacks, behavioural problems and being bucked off due to what was determined to be poor saddle fit. I am hoping to try and save the lovely equine community of Northern Ontario the same frustrations.

I am here to help, and am currently not affiliated with any saddle brands. I simply want the best fitting saddle for you AND your horse.
