Rolona Kennels has been producing quality Staffordshire Bull Terriers since 1976, including the most titled Stafford in the world!

Rolona Kennels was established in 1976. We have bred the most titled Staffordshire Bull Terrier in the world and have produced many champions, both in the show ring and most importantly in the home. over a span of almost 40 years. We have had multiple best in show awards, both at the puppy and adult levels and still show to a moderate extent. As well, we are internationally know for our flyball an

d agility players, having produced some of the top dogs for our breed on both sides of the Canadian American border. Sylvia Barkey, owner of Rolona, is a well known international judge and is continually expanding her judging career, which includes breed specialties and all breed conformation shows. At the present, she is licensed for terriers,toys and non sporting breeds. Rolona has dogs, worldwide, that are included in the breeding program.

A few pictures of Frost…aka Am Ch. Rolona’s Winter is Coming. Frost started his career as a puppy, with a five point major under breeder judge Kim Reeder of Australia. He completed his Championship with two more five point majors both at the US Nationals under judge Craig Scanlan, UK, and again the following day at the Regional Specialty under judge Karen Waltham, UK. Frost is owned by Lisa Lane.

The Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club of America hosted their National Specialty weekend in Baltimore last week. Rolona Kennels placed consistently over the three days.
Can Ch. Rolona’s Loving the Limelight was Reserve Winners Bitch on the Friday under judge Glynis Yull, and went on to Best of Winners, Best Bred by Exhibitor and BEST IN SHOW on the Sunday. Thank you for the awards, judge Karen Waltham.
‘New’ Am Ch. Rolona’s Winter is Coming, was Winners Dog on Saturday and went back to claim Winners Dog on the Sunday. He was also awarded an Award of Merit. Thank you again Karen Waltham for Sunday’s win, and Craig Scanlon on the Saturday.
It was a memorable weekend for sure. The prizes fill my dining room table.
I am holding the ribbons in the one pic of Frost and Kim is holding them for me, as the judge had to run for her plane, while we were in the group ring.

A new snowfall this morning. It’s quite mild, so we can enjoy the day. The statues are all sleeping in the snow, waiting for spring. Angels and dogs decorate my gardens.

Introducing new Champion Rolona’s Light Show. Frankie is loved and shown by Jenna Reid. It has been a pleasure watching this team work together. This is Jenna’s first show pup. She has shown many horses and has coached as well over the years. It shows….she has nerves of steel! Good luck working towards your grand, Jenna!
