Framed 2 bats today. One is clearly in better condition. Why?

Well, the better one was found severely injured (broken wing at the shoulder and possibly beaten with a broom) and was euthanized and then preserved.

The other was found dead and a little "crispy". Could've been dead up to 5 days. I tried to rehydrate and then preserve.

I cannot wait to see what the newest batty will turn out like. It also had a long journey after death and I had to be creative with the pose I pinned it in to preserve.

Neither of these are for sale.

Received a nice little bat today. Going to try and spread and dry preserve.

Always plan ahead and make sure you have the correct sized container before you start the process! Especially on a holiday when store are closed 😩

It's been a while!

Bats are still relaxing in the borax, not 100% dried out.

Will be uploading some new creatures to the "Available" album with prices.

This neonatal kitten is not for sale. He will stay with me.

Have another bat come into my care. It has been dead for a few days so I'm trying to "revive" it to be able to manipulate it into position before preserving.
