About myself, Heather Suggitt, Owner, Certified Professional Pet Groomer & Certified Animal Care Aide:
I am a born and raised 'Isl
and Girl' growing up in Errington & Parksville, B.C. I'm a mom, wife and Fur-mom to my amazing family. I was a Highland Dancer for 17 years, rode horseback and played piano for 6 years. I always wanted to work with pets, even as a child so its rather fitting that I become a Professional Pet Groomer after all my endeavors. I became a certified Animal Care Aide in 2010 through North Island College, pursuing my long awaited career in animal care. Becoming a Professional Pet Groomer, I started from the bottom, apprenticing while simultaneously working as a bather-brusher for a year at TransFURmations Mobile Grooming in Victoria, BC. I worked my way toward grooming school at a very popular pet grooming salon in Victoria, BC called Wizard of Paws. While becoming a Professional Pet Groomer, I worked at the salon, learning the ins and outs of running a pet grooming business for 3 years, gaining a vast amount of knowledge & experience. I moved up north to Terrace, BC in 2014 and ran a successful mobile pet grooming business for over a year with the support of my husband and family before moving back to Victoria, BC in 2016. I was quickly hired at Paw Space Pet Boutique & Spa where I groomed, grew clientele & business for 6 years until 2022. I have been running my own business & grooming in the Parksville, BC area since 2022, rounding out my experience in animal care & my pet grooming career to 14 years. In that time, I have groomed approximately 11,520+ dogs, give or take a few hundred. From learning to groom, helping others grow their businesses and owning my own business, I have gained an immense amount of knowledge & experience in the past 14+ years. I am very compassionate about what I do and love doing it every single day. I wouldn’t change it for the world.
