Dehydration doesn’t take days — sometimes it takes hours. And it doesn't have to be the heat of summer to happen.
Watch for:
• Sticky/tacky gums
• Lethargy
• Skin that doesn’t snap back quickly
• Sunken eyes
• Weakness
🚩 Puppies and senior dogs decline faster.
Hydration matters more than food in the first few hours of GI upset.

Spring is flea, tick and heartworm prevention time - important components of ensuring your dog’s lifelong health.

Fleas can cause skin allergies, transmit tapeworm infection and infest the home environment, ticks are related to Lyme's disease and other hazards, while heartworms can cause serious damage to a pet’s heart and lungs.

The Companion Animal Parasite Council recommends year-round prevention of both heartworms and fleas for dogs.

Currently, there are several all-in-one treatments for dogs, so how do you decide which is best for your pet? And what are the benefits to using these products? Here is a chart you can use to pick the right one.

But - most importantly, your veterinarian should help you decide whatis most appropriate option for your dog based on their age and health. They can also help you choose the best product to ensure full protection.
