Well, there's a first time for everything! 9 1/2 years old and Brandy has decided that she too should be able to sleep on the couch!

It is the first time I've ever seen her even try to get on the "dog" couch or any furniture... so I helped her up. It's usually Spotty or Donnamira that have the rights to that couch... I actually held Donnamira back to make sure there wasn't a fight!

But all is well and Brandy is enjoying her nap! She is also day guard so it's not even usual for her to be inside in the daytime! She's a hard worker and she deserves a good rest! ❤️

Happy 9th Birthday To Litter "B" & our beautiful Brandy (Mother of the Miracle 16)🥳

Brandy hasn't slowed down at all... Still our wonderful full-time, day guard. She was tearing across the field today but it was towards me to run past me and I didn't have time to get the camera out fast enough for a picture or video!

She did get some nice steak for supper (as well as beef lung and spleen too - yummy!) She had some crunchy watermelon rinds too! Birthday treats galore. I thank God for my beautiful Brandy.

Our beautiful "Mama," had a significant birthday today!

Sweet Canadian Champion Éowyn De La Tierra Alta, the one who started it all for us, turned a mere 12 years young!

Clayton was only 3 and he picked her out at every weekly picture update of the litter... I would say, which one do you want? Out of all the puppies, he always pointed to only her and would call her "the cute one!"

These are pictures of her from today with two of her daughters and a grand daughter!

Not always last but never very far behind when she is! She didn't have need to run anywhere today but she can still trot quite fast with the best of them if the need arises! She's been through the ringer and came out on top... guess we have a lot in common with her!

So blessed that Karin entrusted her to us all those years ago. I still miss Karin every day but so glad Éowyn is still so strong and healthy. Also, extremely glad that I changed everyone to the raw diet 🥓🥩🍗🍖 back in 2015 and it's made such a difference in their health!

Thanks be to God for allowing her to spend all these years with us and praying 🙏 for many more!

As many of you know, we lost my beautiful friend Karin (Haywood) Graefe of De La Tierra Kennel over a year ago. All of her wonderful dogs had to be rehomed in a hurry. A new Canadian breeder emerged and with breeding a few of Karin's dogs, they have come up with a surplus of puppies. I present them to you with the knowledge that they are Karin's trusted bloodlines/genetics. As you can see from the photos, the puppies are already quite large and would really like to have their very own families as soon as possible. Puppies are micro-chipped and vaccinated. Both Breed Quality and Pet/Guard Quality are available...

One litter was born December 24th, 2022:

Dam: Kona De La Tierra Alta
Sire: Murtoi's Boromir

Other litter was born December 29th, 2022:

Dam: Suki De La Tierra Alta
Sire: Murtoi's Boromir

Both Suki and Kona have been spayed and are also looking for their forever retirement homes.
