MYTH: A dog’s body language means the same as a human’s

FACT: Dogs communicate in their own language. A yawn, lip lick, or head turn doesn’t always mean what it would mean for a person. These kinds of behaviours can actually signal stress, uncertainty, or attempts to calm a situation.

Growing up with Labrador Retrievers, they've always been such a big part of my life and heart - loyal, goofy, loving, cuddly, and their velvet soft ears.

Penny and Copper are the cutest siblings who love one another and squabble just like any human siblings. Penny is a soft cuddly girl who LOVES her food. Copper is a goofy playful guy who LOVES his ball. Both so different and yet both have such 'traditional' lab qualities.

Does anyone have a special breed close to their heart?

We offer pet sitting services for more than just cats and dogs - I'm also happy to care for farm animals too, including chickens!

I recently had the privilege to care for a large flock of chickens and ducks and had SO much fun. I even grew a special friendship with one little silkie in particular.

Hmmm maybe I need to get some chickens 🐔

Klaus and I enjoyed our afternoon with a long off leash walk. Days like this are the perfect reminder to slow down, get outside, and appreciate the simple moments.

One of my favorite parts of pet-sitting is getting to know each pet’s little routines 💕
Meet Orca 🐾—after her daily greeting of meerkat head pets, she always zooms straight into her tunnel and waits for playtime like it’s the highlight of her day. It’s our little ritual, and it never fails to make me smile. Her more reserved brother Chuck even joined in on the fun yesterday.

Moments like these are why I love what I do—earning trust, building bonds, and making sure every pet feels safe, happy, and loved while their humans are away.
