Our new addition to help our goat herd grow. Davey understands his assignment. Ronny came into heat today and he got to it. 🥳 Looking forward to the babies in the spring.

Miss Lacey kitted 6 nice sized babies this morning. She is doing great and made a nice warm nest. 1 solid color and the rest are all broken. I'll be able to tell colors better in a few more days when their fur comes in more.

Let's talk about those magic nuggets. No, they are not golden Easter eggs. They are little nuggets worth more then their weight in gold. Yes, rabbit manure. Raising any animal you have to deal with it. The best part of rabbit manure is it's a green manure. It can go straight into a garden without burning the plants or its roots. No composing needed.

Before I moved I had a garden that I used it all in and also sold some extra to help pay for rabbit food. Mulching around plants worked the best and helped keeping the weeds down. Currently, I don't have any garden beds made but will have some by spring. So, for now my rabbit manure is being piled up and waiting. Come spring I will have plenty to give my gardens for a great start and keep them happy throughout the growing season. Any extra will be offered for sale again in the spring.

Suzy Q has decided she wants to be a rabbit barn cat. She found a spot under Mr. Chuck. The good thing it's not the corner he likes to use as the bathroom. She still comes into the house at night but most of the day is spent in the rabbit barn. Which is great as I am always finding mouse presents from her.

Yes, someone is still molting. Miss Sabrina thinks she should give me a hair bath. Big brush this morning. I'll save the hair just in case not enough gets pulled at baby time. Better be safe then sorry.

One of the critters we have on our game cams. There hasn't been any sign of it coming close to the rabbits or other farm animal's so far. Hopefully it keeps it that way.

Don't know what to do with your pumpkins after Halloween! Don't let them go to waste. My goats would love them. Even the carved ones. I'll be putting a bin at the edge of my driveway. Please be respectful and no midnight runs. 😁

This morning is preparing for 3 visitor rabbits. We will be taking them for the winter as their owner is off to Thailand. This will bring us up to full capacity. Time to make some more pens. 🤣

Straw for the winter. Picked up and stored. Thanks New Cal Farm. Great looking straw and reasonable price. They also have other Farm material available. I picked up a roll of Kit saver wire to make some more pens. Best part is it was on sale. If your looking give them a shout. They may have what you need.

Getting feed back from a buyer is the best feeling. This is one of the last rabbits that I sold (I was seriously thinking of keeping her). It was hard to let her go but boy did she go to a great home. She is now currently hitting the 9 lb mark. Happy as a happy bun can be.
