Meet Stella, a 4yo 15hh grade Quarter Horse mare with a solid, hearty build and an even better mind.

An uneventful first ride is exactly what we aim for!

We believe the key to a successful first ride is all the work that happens long before you ever swing a leg over. We take our time building a solid foundation on the ground, establishing trust, confidence, understanding and responsiveness. We don’t get on until we know they’re mentally and physically ready for it.

Taking the time to do things right from the beginning means fewer holes to fill and problems to fix down the road.

Nothing flashy, nothing dramatic. Just a quiet, confident first ride… exactly how we like it!

A little Moose ✨ glow up ✨

One month sure makes a difference! Since he’s already such a wicked trail/ranch horse, we’ve been fine tuning this fancy fella in the arena lately. He’s already come so far in such a short amount of time, being that he’s an incredibly quick and willing learner. I plan on popping him over some jumps at some point this week - can totally see him being an adorable English pony too! Moose is incredibly soft, supple and easy to ride. He is the ideal all-around partner for just about anyone!

Lots of Gambler and Nacho content coming your way!

We brought them along for our vacation to Naramata, but of course we couldn’t just drive straight there without getting into a few shenanigans along the way.

We stopped at Lundbom Lake outside of Merritt and put these boys to work. Cows, water, steep terrain, big rocks, wide open country with plenty of opportunities to move out and use their feet.

This kind of riding is such an important part of our program. We want our horses out of the arena, seeing new country, navigating difficult terrain and learning to confidently handle whatever gets put in front of them. They need to know how to pick their way through the rough stuff, move out when asked, come back down and keep their cool in different scenarios.

That’s how we build confident, reliable, well-rounded horses that you can actually go out and enjoy without worrying.

Nacho!!!

13.3hh of stocky, happy, uncomplicated pony goodness. This guy genuinely has one of the comfiest trots I’ve ever ridden. You could trot him all day long and not hate your life afterward!

Nacho is brave, confident and about as unbothered as they come. He isn’t spooky, loves the water and will happily go wherever you point him. He’s safe, quiet and easy going, with that perfect mix of whoa and go that makes him fun without ever feeling like work.

Just a really cool little pony who seems pretty stoked to do whatever you’ve got planned, whether it’s in the arena or out!

Gambler sure turned some heads with his first post and it’s easy to see why!

This gorgeous, registered 13yo blue roan gelding is just as sweet as he is good looking. Quiet, easy going and comfortable to ride with smooth gaits, he handles new situations with confidence and has already packed a flag without batting an eye. Gambler is a friendly, people-loving kind of horse with a lovely chill demeanour. We’re continuing his education under saddle and will be available soon!

Introducing Buttermilk 💕

Buttermilk is a 9yo, 13.3hh Quarter Pony with a sweet personality and a solid, tanky build. She is exceptionally quiet and easy going, isn’t spooky, and is uncomplicated to handle and have around.

Under saddle she is smooth, comfortable and easy to ride, packs a flag without a fuss and is very soft in either a bridle or halter. She has all the makings of a really lovely kids/family/all around horse.

Meet Nacho!!

An adorable, incredibly friendly 13.3hh 4yo Welsh QH X gelding who is as tall as he is wide!! Don’t let his size deter you - he’s stocky and stout, can easily pack an adult rider. This happy little fella is kind, gentle and quiet. He’s safe and very comfortable to ride, smooth smooth smooth - no choppy gaits here! He’ll make a perfect pudgy mount for the whole family.
