🏡 Looking for the Right Home for Bruno 🐾

This is incredibly hard for me to post, but I need to find the right home for Bruno, a beautiful 2-year-old English Bulldog who came into my care around May 20th.

Bruno is approximately 50 lbs and is an incredibly loving, affectionate and friendly dog with people. He absolutely loves attention and has so much love to give. ❤️

Unfortunately, Bruno has shown serious aggression toward other animals. He has repeatedly attacked my other dog, Tank. Until recently Tank did not fight back, but he has now started defending himself. Tank is approximately 130 lbs, and I am genuinely afraid that one of them is going to be very seriously injured or that Bruno could be killed if this continues.

For that reason, Bruno MUST go to a home with NO other pets. This isn’t something I’m willing to take a chance on.

I would love to find him an experienced, responsible dog owner who understands his needs and can give him a safe home where he can be the one and only pet. With people, Bruno is an absolute sweetheart and deserves a home where he can thrive without the stress and danger of living with other animals.

This is not an easy decision and I want to make sure he goes to the right person. Please message me if you are seriously interested in giving Bruno a loving, pet-free home. ❤️🐾

Meet Bear 💙🐾

Long post incoming! lol please don’t judge on the ample amount of dogs lol but let me tell you ! They live the best life ! I call him Bionic Bear 🤣
He is still being fostered by Ryan and I . But you know any animal that walks in this house we love too much to ever let leave . Exactly what Bear needs after being jumped around from home to home and vet appts etc . So I will be applying to adopt once the foster program is over 💙

Bear came Into our lives a badly broken leg, a pile of medications, and absolutely ZERO concept of personal space. 😂

Bear was hit by a car and suffered a severe fracture of his right tibia, with his fibula also injured. X-rays are posted. His leg was broken into multiple pieces surgery and metal plates . 20 ish staples .. screws - the whole shebang lol

After everything he had already been through, Bear’s previous owners made the decision to surrender him.

And somehow, that terrible chapter is how he ended up with us. ❤️

Now he has a new mommy, daddy , 2 sisters and a potato 🥔 aka Remi lol to snuggle with, and a home where his only job right now is to HEAL.

Recovery has meant strict rest, medications, antibiotics, careful little potty walks, follow-up X-rays and doing everything possible. Lots of vet follow ups and appts . Letting him live his best life as I can being stationary and not putting stress on that leg .. it’s been 2 weeks post op . Staples were removed Wednesday! Yay 😁

Two dogs. Same amount of food. Completely different results. 🧬🐾

Why?

Because your dog’s nutritional needs aren’t determined by body weight alone.

🧬 Genetics
⚡ Activity level
🔥 Metabolism
🎂 Age & life stage
⚖️ Current body condition

…can all influence how much energy an individual dog needs.

That’s why feeding guidelines should be treated as a starting point, not a finish line.

Watch the dog in front of you. 👀

Are they maintaining a healthy body condition? Gaining? Losing? Has their activity changed? As your dog changes, their portions may need to change too.

Comparing your dog’s bowl to another dog’s bowl doesn’t tell you whether either dog is being fed appropriately.

Feed the individual. Adjust when needed. 🥩🐾

Just 15 to 20 minutes of scent work, puzzle games, or a short training session can be just as tiring as a long walk! It also helps build:

❤️ A stronger bond between you and your dog

Some easy rainy-day enrichment ideas:
• Hide treats around the house for a sniff-and-find game
• Stuff a Kong or lick mat with your dog’s favorite raw food
• Practice new tricks or obedience
• Try a food puzzle or snuffle mat
• Rotate toys to make them feel “new” again
