New neck extender for the “Finale” contributes to cow comfort by reducing the ability to swing the head. Cows use their heads to get momentum going to yank on their legs. It also gives safety for operations like needling or dehorning should that happen in the chute.

Here is a video of the squeeze function. This reduces animal struggle almost completely. Gently holds the animal to prevent self harm through trimming or treatment. We are able to completely contain animals down to year olds. Notice how the belly band moves ahead as well to adapt to smaller animals. Also the front leg holders move in with the sides reducing stress on the shoulders of smaller animals incurred from needing to swing out so far on fixed location chutes. Inside dimensions range from 34”- 18”, more than ample size reduction for cattle.

I’ve never had this happen before with my other chutes . The robot milker was about six feet away from my chute. It wasn’t busy the day I was trimming but a number of cows went through during operation. We trimmed 125 and that took long enough the cows needed to get back through to be milked.

New in our design is an upgraded wheel drive system. You can put this chute into small doors to get into a scrape ally to work. The chute footprint is small allowing you to work in tight places.

We at Fineline Hoof trimming Technologies have been working hard through 2025 to develop a new way to restrain cattle. One of my concerns over the years of trimming has been how much cattle can struggle inside all brands of equipment. I’ve used all common brands over my 27 years of trimming. My concern has been that when treatment is painful the other legs that are free are kicking and struggling. Also the head may swing from side to side in their effort to free themselves from the experience.
So in 2025 I developed a complete squeeze system inside the chute that holds the body of the cow and as the chute shortens in length it narrows, so that no matter what size of animal we can hold them tight on all four sides.
In addition I added a neck extender that restrains the neck and head of the cows and the result is a very quiet animal no matter whether trimming or treating.
The chute was able to be made wider and longer to accommodate the biggest bulls and yet be able to hold a yearling jersey heifer.
The result…. One size fits all!!!
Now available for production in 2026 are chutes that are more robust and more ergonomic and cow friendly than anything ever built before!!

I am regularly trimming 28-30 per hour with a record 42 in one hour.

Quick and efficient chute set up.

One major timesaver we built into our automatic chute design is easy and safe unloading. You can do it all in fewer than 2 minutes. Just drive or back into your work space, unbluckle, raise it up, drive away, and lower in prep for the first cow. Simply reverse the steps and you are back on the road again.

Our professional Auto-Trim Chute is powered by a 230V single phase 20amp supply from the farm or a generator. This unit can keep up with your cow flow at 25-28 cows per hour on a very quiet low speed. That being said it can do more at a higher pump speed if that is your need. Two 5 gallon accumulators and a battery backup allow for lighting, driving up to 150ft and/or trailer loading and unloading while unplugged. All industrial controls are 24V including the remote control. Stainless and Aluminum construction make wash-down a blast so don’t forget Deluxe is Standard when it’s made by Fineline.
