Here we have a little before and after…..
Before-
we had quite large Hooks on the 106, 206 upper molars. Your left side and right side. Your #6 molars are right where your bit sits against in the horses mouth. Owner complained of horse having bit issues and almost impossible to ride in a bit. 🐴 the hooks in the mouth had completely worn the front of the lower opposing #6 molars. Your 306,406.
After- brought those hooks all the way down so that the whole occlusal surface (chewing surface) of the tooth was level with the rest of the mouth. And rounded the edges, putting in bit seats. A smooth rounded area so that the bits have a comfortable place to sit in the mouth without hitting the tongue and top of the mouth as much.
This horse hadn’t been done in 3 years or more…. This is a good reminder of why dentistry is important🙂
