Thought we’d pop in to share this cute little dude who is hanging out here for the week! Luke is a 9 month old potcake from and such a sweet pup! He is a bit of a nervous guy, so we are helping him build some confidence and better social skills with other dogs for the short time he’s here. ❤️

I’m heartbroken to share that last Friday I suddenly had to say goodbye to my amazing GSD, Nash. ❤️‍🩹

Nash had a long battle with EPI, and unfortunately it took its toll on his body. He was diagnosed with acute kidney failure, and I decided to let him be free and never ask him to suffer.

Nash is a big reason why I decided to take the leap into working towards my CPDT, because of how much he taught me and what a better handler & trainer he made me. In this industry, we always will have more to learn and find opportunities to grow, but I’m thankful I had this wonderful boy to begin my journey with.

I am still absorbing the shock of his loss, and my heart has not stopped aching. He will be missed beyond words. Me and Reef will always love you my sweet boy.

Don’t forget to hug your dogs tight and never waste a single moment. We never know how much time we may get with them. ❤️‍🩹

Wesley 🍂

A bit of a familiar face on this page! Wesley from is back with us for the time being while we figure out the next steps for him to work through a few behavioural issues he is having. He is a great dog, but unfortunately lacked a lot of training and socialization during those key developmental periods as a puppy. These are important to take seriously for every dog, but especially for high energy working breeds like a German Shepherd! He has lots of potential and needs guidance to keep becoming his best self. Essentially, he is now like an 8 week old puppy in a 75lbs body, which can be quite unsafe if not managed properly!

I’m not sure how long he will be with us, but while he is we will work on his manners, impulse control, managing his leash reactivity, and a few other odds and ends. I know he’ll make a great addition to the right home once he has some more training under his belt!

Happy gotcha day to my boy, Nash! Today marks 2 years since I adopted this handsome guy ❤️

To celebrate, we played a good game of tug (his favourite!) & practiced his “out” command! We also worked on calling him away from distractions in the yard; squirrels and barking neighbour dogs lol. Nash has a very high prey drive so recalling away from squirrels is particularly hard for him, but he did awesome! Tonight he’ll get a special frozen toppl for some celebratory enrichment 🫶🏼
