MARK YOUR CALENDARS! ARS is launching a BRAND NEW MONTHLY EVENT: SPEED DATE SUNDAYS! 🐶

WHEN - Sunday August 17th (12pm - 5pm )
WHERE - The Bone & Biscuit Aurora (14889 Yonge St.)

Join the Rescue Team at Anna’s Rescue & SanKtuary for ONE ON ONE MEET AND GREETS WITH OUR ADOPTABLE PUPS!

Speed Date Sundays allow any potential adopters to have UNIQUE ONE ON ONE MEET & GREETS, SPEED DATE STYLE! Every hour, we will be rotating five of our Adoptable Pups to join us in store, allowing you the chance to meet them, offer treats, get some pets in, and learn about them and our adoption process!

Please be sure to READ OUR EVENT DETAILS ABOVE! Some important things to note:

- Bone & Biscuit will be providing treats. Please do not bring treats from home, we will NOT allow our dogs to eat outside treats.

- Meet & Greets will be performed in a Speed Date Style within a partitioned area of the store. This is for the safety and comfort of our Rescue Pups and volunteers will direct traffic accordingly. In the event of high interest/traffic, we may limit meetings to 5-10 minute windows.

- PETS ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND! We ask owners to keep their pets leashed and manage their behaviour and safety. Guided pet introductions with our Adoptable Pups will be approached on a CASE BY CASE BASIS. Your cooperation is expected - the ARS Rescue Team reserves the right to deny interactions depending on each Adoptable Pup and their various needs.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A HUMANS ONLY EVENT! We kindly request that you leave your pets & treats at home!

The lovely folks will also be present to talk about their Adoption Program where any newly adopted dog or cat comes home with a $150+ value of select brands of food, treats and supplements for FREE 🤩 Visit their store (right beside ours) or e-mail them at [email protected] to learn more about this amazing offer!

RUSTY IS ADOPTED! 🥳

Back in February 2024, Rusty was adopted by the Valvona family, just in time for Valentine’s Day and his 3rd BIRTHDAY!

We met the Valvona’s when they started to bring their new rescue pup, Phoebe, to daycare. After LOVING the service and the positive impacts on Phoebe, they had been thinking about a second dog and came to one of our Adoption Events! Rusty is a timid dog who chooses his people carefully, and we always felt that a multi dog household would be his perfect fit! Sure enough, he stole the hearts of Angie & Samantha, and were thrilled when we saw how quickly he opened up to them. From there, the love story began, Rusty went home, and the Valvona’s quickly moved towards ADOPTION!

Months later, we see Rusty and Phoebe every week at daycare! They are the best of friends, Rusty has grown immensely, and we couldn’t be happier for all involved. From the streets of Greece to his forever home in Canada, Rusty is one lucky pup who deserved the loving family he got! 💘

CRYSTAL IS ADOPTED! 🥳

Back in January 2024, Crystal was adopted by Damion, one of our Canine Coaches here at Dogtopia of Aurora Village!

When Damion first started working here, he had his heart stolen by one particular pup — CRYSTAL! This father daughter duo had a special connection right from the start, and Damion couldn’t get his mind off of her! We started joking around about “Adoption Papers,” and soon enough, inside jokes about adoption quickly became REALITY! There was no denying this chemistry, there was no denying this growing love story, and we knew that Damion and Crystal deserved each other!

After a month of being at home, Crystal’s adoption was SIGNED, SEALED, and FOREVER! We are thrilled that this love story stayed in the Dogtopia family, and Damion became the 6th staff member to adopt one of our Fosters! Crystal is now one of our Staff dogs, a daycare veteran, loves living life right by Damion’s side, and we still can’t tell who is more obsessed with who! This is a BONDED PAIR if you’ve ever seen one! 😂

LYLA IS ADOPTED! 🥳

Back in January 2024, Lyla was adopted by Michelle & Dave, two of our mightiest and devout volunteers here at ARS!

We met Michelle and Dave in May 2024, when they attended one of our Monthly Adoption Events! There, they met their dog Autumn, and quickly adopted her with our partners

After that, Michelle and Dave NEVER missed an adoption event, and offered our community and pups so much support. We were so impressed by these exceptional humans, that around holiday time, we offered them the opportunity to foster one of our dogs for the holidays! They agreed, came to meet our pack with Autumn, and Lyla was their winner! The two girls clicked instantly — and it was amazing to witness!

While it was “only a foster home” to start, we may or may not have known the Lyla would weasel her way into their hearts and set them up to FOSTER FAIL all along! But we’ll never tell — we just love to matchmake! 😂

One month later, Michelle & Dave FOSTER FAILED, and now they have two beautiful sisters, both adopted within months of each other from both us and at our Adoption Events! We are overjoyed that Autumn and Lyla found sisterhood and their perfect match with Michelle and Dave. Plus, we love getting to see both girls loving on their forever family during regular daycare visits!

WOLFE IS ADOPTED! 🥳

Back in December 2024, ARS completed its first OFFICIAL Adoption with Zoe & Kyle who fell in love with our sweet Lab Mix puppy, WOLFE!

Wolfe was rescued alongside his sister, Stormi (STILL AWAITING ADOPTION) from a farm in Northern Ontario. We rescued them at 8 weeks old and raised them up at Dogtopia!

Enter Zoe & Kyle — who attended one of our Monthly Adoption Events! There, they met Wolfe, and it was LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT! After that event, they acted FAST — and we had a full application from them within an hour of the event ending! Passion is everything in rescue — and we had all the good feelings after talking with them, hearing how dogs have impacted their lives, and witnessing their love and passion for Wolfe first hand!

Soon after, Wolfe headed home with Zoe & Kyle, and the rest is HISTORY! Adoption was finalized within just a week of him being home. We are OVERJOYED that this wonderful couple is Wolfe’s perfect match, and it has been incredible to see Wolfe thriving under their parentage, crushing his big city life, and getting all of the love in the world!

Anna’s Rescue & SanKtary (ARS) is hoping to reach our goal of $5000.00 CAD to support our 2025 rescue plans and our current pack of ADOPTABLE PUPS! We have been hard at work this year and have found over 10 dogs their forever homes already this year!

100% of Donations will DIRECTLY FUND:

OUR UPCOMING RESCUE TRIP TO GREECE! Donations will offer us additional funding for canine air travel from Lemnos Island to Canada! This includes our two incoming dogs (and potentially MORE PUPS if our fundraiser can allow for that)!
