ZOE IS ADOPTED! ✅

Back in January 2026, Zoe found her forever home! 💜

Zoe is a Pointer Mix that entered our rescue internationally. Despite being a puppy, Zoe was the gentlest girl with nothing but love to offer. She was sweet, polite, and always wanted affection — PAWING at you to get every pet she could. We knew that Zoe would be popular— not to mention compatible to so many families! After meeting several different families, she found her forever home with highly experienced, lifelong dog owners.

Enter Susan & Tom — a couple who had owned and trained 5 dogs prior to Zoe, with many coming from rescue backgrounds! These two were seasoned owners looking for a large pup — and Zoe’s gentle soul immediately sold them! They knew she would be a great fit for their big family of grandkids and grandpups alike, and after learning more about their world with dogs, we knew that Zoe was in good hands and had a DREAM life set out for her! Soon after heading home, FOREVER WAS FINALIZED WITH AN OFFICIAL ADOPTION! 💜

Today, Zoe is living large — enjoying family time, unconditional love, and cottage visits! What more could a pup want?!

ROCKY IS ADOPTED!

Back in January, Rocky started our 2026 adoption spree after winning the hearts of a very special couple! 💜

Rocky is a Yellow Lab that entered our rescue as a local owner surrender. Rocky is a beautiful dog — but we recognized that he needed an highly experienced owner that he would firmly respect. It took us some time to find Rocky’s perfect match — and we remained steadfast in our values of a home where he would receive constant nurture, affection, activity, and shared dedication among family members!

Enter Danny & Leah — who initially applied for another dog in our care! After reading their application and learning about their very social lives, we knew that this was Rocky’s chance at a DREAMY, adventurous life! At their meet & greet, we surprised Danny & Leah with a Rocky introduction, we expressed that Rocky had EVERYTHING they wanted in their next dog, and deserved this chance after being in our care for just over a year! Most excitingly, Danny & Leah AGREED — and their love story began! Rocky went home with them and within days, these two lovely people hit the ground running and showed us a dog WE couldn’t even recognize! Rocky was the happiest we had ever seen him — and thanks to Danny & Leah’s willingness to trust our instincts, WE FINALIZED FOREVER WITH AN OFFICIAL ADOPTION! 💜

Today, Rocky is the king of the castle! He gets to go on hiking adventures, has so many new friends, is spoiled rotten, and celebrated his 3rd birthday in his forever home! It’s so exciting to see Rocky living life EXACTLY AS WE HOPED HE WOULD! 🥹

MONA IS ADOPTED! ✅

Back in December 2025, Mona (formerly Kona) found her forever home in time for Christmas!

Mona is a Pointer mix that was rescued from Greece from ! We brought her to Canada to reunite with her mom — AVA — who was quickly adopted after Mona arrived! From day one, Mona was a quirky and shy girl - with the sweetest and silliest bursts of joy once she trusted you! We knew that Mona’s home needed to be a gentle one — a family that would see past her shyness, knowing what was on the other side of trust with time and patience. And those people, literally, walked RIGHT IN THE DOOR one day!

Enter Brad & Sue, who had been following Mona on Petfinder for some time. They felt a connection - and were ready for their next pup after losing their previous too soon. Funnily enough, they accidentally came to our centre on a Sunday thinking we had an adoption event that day! Luckily, Zach happened to be there in the lobby, discussions began, and a quick meeting with Mona too. From there, Mona went home quickly — Brad & Sue knew they found their next family member, and just like that — ADOPTION!

Today, Mona is very comfortable at home with her kitty sisters Margot & Peach. She enjoys her witching hours twice daily, loves snuggles with her humans, hogs a pillow at bedtime, and is immensely loved — as she always deserved.

MAISIE IS ADOPTED!

Back in December 2025, our girl Maisie found her forever home in time for Christmas!

Maisie is a hound mix that was rescued from Greece, and from day one, she was the sweetest girl ready for a forever home! Maisie is happiest around her people and getting to explore outside. Her loving demeanour was cherished by all of us, and we knew that Maisie deserves people who would offer her all the time in the world. She truthfully waited longer than we had hoped, but sometimes the best things in life are worth waiting for! 💜

Enter Wendy & Corey, who visited our monthly adoption event and initially came to meet two other dogs that weren’t Maisie! We decided to surprise them at their meeting and included Maisie — as when we read their application, we actually thought that she was their most compatible fit! By the end of the meeting, Wendy & Corey happily agreed — after hearing her journey and time with us, they KNEW that Maisie was their next family member, a true rescue experience, and a FOREVER MATCH! Soon after, she went home — and official adoption came two weeks later! 🥹

Today, Maisie gets her daily walks, snuggles, and is starting to overcome her fear of the car to go on adventures! She is a cherished member of the family — and Maisie more than deserves the happily forever after she found!
