We are truly nothing without our community of supporters and followers. The people who choose to believe in what we do, who show up for us, support with events, donate, like/share posts and simply believe in our mission and vision.

Callie has been one of those people for the last 4 years. This incredibly beautiful soul has been Winnie’s #1 fan and supporter since the day they met. She has hosted birthday parties and fundraisers, has raised money to purchase a rain sheet and supplies for Winnie, and takes any opportunity she can to brush and love on her the way Winnie deserves.

Callie is a gift to us for so many reasons but her joyful and empathetic personality is one of our most favourite things about her. Despite having a challenging year, Callie still chooses to move through life with so much joy, love, and excitement. And we feel so grateful that she shares some of her magic with us and the herd. And especially Winnie 🩵

Thunder ✨

I have to take a minute to tell you about Thunder. Though he is no longer considered a member of the rescue herd, TP has been a core member of our therapy herd for the past 5 years. To tell you I love and adore this horse would be an understatement.

Thunder’s life started out unfair. At a year old he was tossed away at an auction because he had only been born with one eye. No one at the auction wanted him, so the bidding was dropped down to $50. And that’s when her hand went up! She couldn’t fathom the idea of a soul being unwanted just because he was a little different. For the next 10 years, Thunder spent his life being loved and cared for by Cayli and her amazing family before she donated him to our therapeutic program.

And He has been an absolute gift in every single way since the day he came on to our property. Thunder is the sweetest, most affectionate little soul. His favourite past time, other than eating grass, is resting his face in your chest and falling asleep in your arms.

His gift of holding the most non-judgemental and compassionate space is unmatched, which makes him an integral member of our therapeutic herd.

Thunder knows what it means to be different and what it feels like to be judged and unwanted for it.

He knows what it feels like to be devalued and passed over, as if he is worth nothing.

And he knows what it means to love yourself and others wholeheartedly and without conditions despite how others have treated him.

Thunder is one of my deepest loves. He’s special beyond words. And he is the kind of soul your heart will instantly melt into the moment you meet him.

We love you dearly Mr Thunder Pants. Thank you for being a part of our family 🩵

🍃We are exactly TWO WEEKS AWAY from our Liberty Event with Patrick Sullivan with Gamilah Unbridled🍃

We are so honoured and excited to welcome back Patrick Sullivan to our sanctuary for a special two-day Liberty Training Experience, where horse lovers will have the opportunity to witness and learn the art of communication, trust, and connection between horse and human.

Patrick’s work reminds us that true horsemanship is not about control — it is about understanding, patience, and creating a space where a horse feels safe enough to meet us in partnership.
I had the privilege of working with him and his wife Avery last April at their home in Texas and honestly, my time there was truly life-changing and inspiring. Having him come back to our sanctuary to work with our horses is such an incredible opportunity and I am so excited to be able to share it with those inspired to join us!

Whether you come as a lifelong horseperson or someone simply curious about the language horses speak, this day will offer a rare opportunity to slow down, listen deeply, and experience the magic that happens when we meet horses with softness and respect.

✨Rehome Needed ASAP✨

Good Morning Friends! We don’t generally venture down the road of small animal rehome, but on occasion we are asked to step in and help.

Please meet Enzo

Enzo was rescued by his current family about 5 years ago. While they love him dearly, they have 3 large dogs (2 of them German shepherds) that are continuously harassing poor Enzo quite badly. As a result, they feel that their home is no longer the safest and most relaxed space for this sweet man. Enzo is super cuddly and loving and generally does really well with other dogs & cats as long as they respect his space.

If you, or someone you know, may have the space to offer this gentle boy some love in a safe and forever home please reach out and we will put you in touch with his current owner.
