One thing we’ve always appreciated about Carolyn after knowing her for a couple of decades is she truly understands that pets are family. 🐾🏡

🚨 Squirrel-Stopping News 🚨
Paw’ty Waggin’ attempted “serious business owner” photos this week. Results are… debatable. 😂

Pixie and I attended a BBB event to celebrate the years as Better Business Bureau members and while we’re at it, updated headshots, and apparently neither of us knows how to behave when a camera gets pointed at us.

The good news? We laughed the entire time.
The bad news? The photographer probably deserves hazard pay.

Why is it important to use protection year round?….

Good morning. We've been asked why year-round parasite protection is recommended, particularly for pets that are exclusively indoors or don't interact with other animals. Let's clarify: ticks are a year-round issue in our region, and travelling pets can inadvertently bring in different species like the lone star tick, posing a risk to humans as many tick-borne diseases are transmissible. Fleas also pose a year-round problem, causing skin issues, discomfort, and tapeworm infestations (a tapeworm segment dropping eggs is pictured below for reference). These parasites can be introduced into your home on clothing, among other things. Please consult with us regarding year-round parasite protection, including internal parasites.

Happy 11th birthday, Murphy❗️🎂

Today we’re celebrating our beautiful Murphy as she turns 11 years old! For seven wonderful years, we’ve been adventuring together, and through it all Murphy has remained a bright, steady, and loving presence in our pack.

now, probably one of the beloved aunties of our small pack adventures, Murphy helps welcome newcomers with the same gentle, nurturing spirit she’s always carried. She may be a little slower these days, and she may limp from time to time, but nothing dims her determination or her eagerness when we arrive.

Murphy continues to show us that Joy, heart, and adventure spirit don’t fade with age, they shine even brighter.

We love this sweet Bernese girl, and are so grateful for every adventure we get with her.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible mums, moms, pet moms, bonus moms, grandmas, and the women somehow holding absolutely everything together behind the scenes. 💐🐾

From school drop-offs, grocery runs, sports schedules, laundry piles, meal planning, appointments, packing lunches, remembering everyone else’s birthdays, answering “Mom?” 47 times a day… AND still making sure the dog gets walked, fed, groomed, loved, enriched, and cared for.
Your multitasking abilities deserve Olympic recognition. 🏅

And if we’re being honest… in our experience, when it comes to arranging professional pet care, there’s usually a very familiar sequence of events:

📞 Husband/partner calls us:
“The cats are pretty low maintenance”

Meanwhile somewhere in the background:
👩 “And the cat gets filtered water. FILTERED.”

We see you, pet moms. 😂

More often than not, you’re the reason families choose reliable professional care instead of relying on the kids to hopefully remember, or feeling bad asking the neighbour “just one more favour.”

Because you know your pets deserve consistency, care, structure, safety, and people who genuinely understand them even when life gets busy.

Today we celebrate the women managing households, careers, children, calendars, chaos, and cuddly four-legged family members all at once with strength, love, and unmatched dedication.
