💎 Meet Diamond. 🐾
Our newest little potty break and walking buddy may be small in size, but he’s already making some BIG strides.
When we first met Diamond, new or familiar faces, sudden movements, even someone bending down to put on their shoes felt overwhelming. He wasn’t being difficult; he was simply telling us he didn’t feel safe.
Knowing his family had holidays on the horizon, we started working with him ahead of time. The first week was all about gentle introductions. The second? Building a friendship.
Now, instead of rushing to the door in a flurry of big emotions, Diamond happily leads the way outside.
Our favourite change?
His body language.
That once-tense body has softened, his tail now gives a gentle, relaxed wag, and he’s happily accepting treats and gentle affection from us. Those may seem like little milestones, but to us, they’re huge. They tell us that trust is growing.
We’re also seeing fewer reactions to people, bicycles, children in passing, and everyday neighbourhood activity. With every successful walk, Diamond is learning that the world can be a safe place, and that he doesn’t have to be the one protecting the person holding the leash.
This is why we love what we do.
Potty breaks may be the service, but confidence, trust, and positive experiences are often the real goal.
Every calm walk.
Every accepted treat.
Every soft, relaxed tail wag.
Every brave step forward.
Each one helps build a more confident dog.
We’re so proud of you already, Diamond. Welcome to the Paw’ty Waggin experience, little buddy. 💛🐾
