Dina, we are so incredibly sorry this happened to you. We promise to do everything we can to help you heal, both physically and mentally. Despite the pain and suffering caused by some evil human, you still shower us with kisses and love — you are truly an angel.

Dina is having surgery this afternoon at a veterinary hospital - please keep her in your prayers.

𝗨𝗥𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗧 ‼️ : 𝗦𝗢𝗦 🆘 𝗗𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗸’𝘀 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝗷𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀. 𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗧𝗼 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗺. UPSETTING CONTENT ⚠️

This morning, our hearts shattered. Two beautiful, innocent souls, arrived at our shelter in agonizing pain. Their cries echoed through our building - a sound no living creature, especially not a puppy, should ever have to make.

They were found on Munnings Road, unable to walk. The person who brought them in, a true hero for getting them to us, presumed they had been hit by a car. As we examined them, a horrifying truth emerged.

There were no external injuries. No scrapes, no bruises, no marks consistent with a car accident. Yet, both pups had the exact same devastating injury on their back right leg. Dina’s injuries are even more catastrophic.

This wasn’t an accident. Someone did this to them.

Dina and Derek are just three-month-old puppies, barely beginning their lives. As they cried in pain, we saw actual tears in their eyes. Their tiny bodies were were in shock from the sheer brutality they had endured. We immediately administered fluids and pain relief, offering what little comfort we could.

We are heartbroken. We are furious. How could anyone inflict such cruelty on such defenseless, sweet creatures?

Dina’s has a full fracture in her femur and two fractures in her pelvis. Derek, though thankfully with a partial fracture, is still in immense pain and needs specialized care.

Dina needs surgery NOW. This is not something we can do at the shelter.
We are pleading with you, from the bottom of our hearts, please help us save Dina and Derek.

URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨‼️: Dog & Puppy Intakes CLOSED Until Further Notice.

Our shelter is at a breaking point. With nearly 400 dogs and puppies currently in our care, our resources are stretched beyond sustainable limits. We simply cannot take in any more animals at this time.

EXCEPTIONS: If you encounter a truly suffering or injured animal, please bring them to us immediately or contact us for assistance. We will always prioritize critical cases.

We are pleading with the community: SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR PETS! The unchecked backyard breeding and irresponsible ownership of unfixed animals in The Bahamas is creating an overwhelming crisis. Our shelter cannot continue to bear the brunt of this avoidable suffering. We need your help to stop this madness. Please contact for their FREE spay and neuter service.

🚨𝑩𝒊𝒈 𝑻 𝑵𝒆𝒆𝒅𝒔 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑯𝒆𝒍𝒑! 🚨

Remember Big T, the sweet boy who was left tied to our porch back in February 2024?

For over a year, we’ve been treating him for chronic conjunctivitis caused by a painful condition: bilateral upper and lower entropion (deformed eyelids).

Despite his challenges, Big T is the happiest, most playful dog, always ready to give a hug! He truly deserves a chance to live a comfortable, pain-free life.

Specialist eye surgery is now his ONLY option to find lasting relief.
We’ve been doing everything we can, but this specialized surgery comes at a cost. The surgery alone is $1000, not including crucial post-operative care. We can’t book his life-changing surgery until we have the funds.

Can you help us reach our goal of $1000 for Big T?

Happy Tails to Iowa! 🐾❤️

We have happy news! 6 of our wonderful dogs have found their forever families all the way in Iowa, thanks to our amazing partner, McKenna at !
Just look at Stephen, our sweet senior boy (pictured first)! Makenna had the most heartwarming update about him: “He is the most deserving dog I’d ever met. They [his new family] came in looking at puppies, and we had Stephon out and about roaming the lobby. They fell in LOVE 🥹” This truly melts our hearts!

And there’s Delta, who’s in a foster-to-adopt situation – we’re crossing our fingers for a “foster fail” because we know she’ll bring so much happiness to her new family!

Our Bahamian dogs are truly special; they make such exceptional pets and are always a hit wherever they go! While we wish every animal could find a home here on the island, the reality is we simply don’t have enough homes for all of them. That’s why we rely so heavily on incredible rescue partners! We are endlessly grateful for their support in helping us give these deserving animals a second chance at a loving life.

We’re hoping to send another group of dogs to Iowa later this month, so keep an eye on our page for more updates! Also if you know any rescue organizations who would like to work with us - please message us!

This gorgeous boy will be the puuuurrrrfect addition to any family!!

Usually, people tend to want younger kittens but there is such a benefit to adopting an older kitten!
They're past the wildest kitten phase (less destruction!), their personalities are shining through, and they're usually litter-trained. You still get all the playful energy, but in a more manageable package. Plus, you'll be giving a loving home to a kitten often overlooked! ❤️
