Pet microchipping is a safe, permanent way to identify and protect your pets. A microchip, about the size of a grain of rice, is implanted under the pet’s skin, typically between the shoulder blades. This chip contains a unique ID number linked to your contact information in a national database.

If your pet is lost, shelters or vets can scan the chip, retrieve the ID, and contact you. Unlike collars or tags, microchips don’t fall off or get lost. It’s a lifelong solution that greatly increases the chances of reuniting with your pet. Regularly updating your contact information is key for it to be effective.
