Over the past several weeks, I have become aware of false and deeply hurtful rumours being spread about me regarding animal welfare.

I want to state this as clearly as possible: I have never abused, neglected, starved, or intentionally harmed any animal. These allegations are completely false and are incredibly painful, not only to me but also to those who know the countless hours, sacrifices, and personal resources I have dedicated to helping animals over the years.

Unfortunately, it has become clear that these rumours are being fuelled by individuals who are angry that I chose to step away from helping people who repeatedly took advantage of my time, energy, and support without offering the same in return. While everyone is entitled to their opinions, no one is entitled to spread false accusations that damage another person’s reputation or put their safety at risk.

As a result of these rumours, I have experienced harassment, bullying, and threats. This has taken a significant emotional toll on me and has also raised serious concerns for the safety and wellbeing of my family and my children.

For that reason, I have made the difficult decision to step away from animal rescue work indefinitely. This decision has not been made because of the animals, but because I must prioritise the wellbeing and safety of my family.

I will not be engaging with or responding to further rumours, gossip, or attempts to provoke me. I hope that, in time, the truth will speak for itself.

To those who have supported me, stood by me, and shown kindness during this difficult time, thank you. Your compassion has meant more than you know.

I now ask for privacy, respect, and an end to the harassment as I focus on my family and move forward.

I will continue looking for homes for the rescues currently in my care. Please note I will not be taking in any rescues going forward.
