Almost two months ago, I was asked to help with 8 abandoned puppies. Someone had dumped them in the parking lot of a bakery and it was a matter of time before they disappeared. At first I refused the woman, I have too many animals, homes are not easy to find, winter is coming and taking care of the dogs is becoming more and more difficult. You clean in sub-zero temperatures, the water freezes and you have to carry it in buckets, there is no heat for the dogs and my heart is breaking. So, at first I refused, as I do every day to many people who write to me for help. One day, she wrote to me that while the puppies were sleeping in the shade under a truck, he drove off and brutally mauled two of them... :'(
I was angry because most people here don't want to disturb their comfort and the woman in question couldn't or rather didn't want to do anything more for them than feed them. They hadn't even been dewormed and the fleas were living undisturbed on the babies and drinking their blood. I sent her money for vaccines and started organizing transport to Sofia, with the clear knowledge that I had neither room for them nor the possibility of a quick home, winter was coming... So, three boys and three girls arrived at the shelter, they were so dirty that you couldn't see the color of their fur. They were immediately examined by a veterinarian and received their second vaccines. For almost a month now, 6 babies live in 6 square meters, I can't give them anything bigger and it's killing me, six energetic puppies, they live in a big "cell", but they are alive!

Charakter: Unser Freddy ist ein fröhliches, neugieriges Kitten, das am liebsten alles um sich herum erkundet. Er liebt es, gestreichelt zu werden und mag Schmuseeinheiten. Mit Artgenossen versteht Freddy sich auch bestens und spielt gerne mit ihnen.

Geschichte: Die Tierklinik, in denen Virginia die meisten ihrer Tiere behandeln lässt, bat sie um Hilfe. Eine unbekannte Person hatte fünf Kitten dort abgegeben, angeblich gefunden. Verantwortung wollte diese Person nicht übernehmen und so kamen Freddy und seine Geschwister Maximus, Calvin, Tycho und Swea zu Virginia.

Freddy wartet nun darauf, dass seine Menschen ihn entdecken. Und falls im eigenen Körbchen noch niemand im gleichen Alter wohnt, bringt der kleine Mann gerne einen seiner Brüder mit. Allein bleiben möchte er nämlich nicht.

Unsere Tiere reisen mit unserem lizenzierten Transport, sie haben die Erstimpfungen RCP und die Tollwutimpfung, sie besitzen einen EU-Pass, sind gechipt, entwurmt und entfloht. Außerdem wurden sie auf FIV und FeLV getestet und sind, je nach Alter, kastriert.

This poor boy, he lived on the street for at least 1 year, every day I trembled whether he would come and when he didn't, my brain started to paint scary pictures. Poisoned? Hit by a car? Locked up somewhere to die slowly of hunger? Hit with a shovel? Shot with a rifle? Flayed? Because of the animals on the street, all those in front of my house are in the background... Thanks to Bettina and the fact that she offered to find him a home, I took him in. Can you see him feeling bad, from not being outside? On the contrary, he feels very good, maybe he has never slept so peacefully without fearing for his life.

Important! Our cats were rescued from the street with a lot of work, hardship and suffering. Therefore, I want to make a very important clarification. Please, people who intend to let their cats go outside, without a secured yard /which is very annoying/, do NOT write to us. Our cats are ONLY for keeping inside! A secured balcony, a secured terrace, a secured enclosure in the yard are permissible! Freely going out and wandering outside in other people's yards and streets, NO!
If you were in my place, rescuing animals 24/7, 365 days a year, crying every day, cleaning around the clock, treating, feeding babies with milk, giving medicine, not getting enough sleep, not having time to eat normally, not having time to rest, nor time for your family, because you are always with over 100 animals, think about it. You too would not enjoy sending a dog/cat to a home and then finding out that the animal was hit by a car, disappeared or dead, no matter the reason.
