Uniting The Youth 2025 — Entertainment with a Purpose

What a movement! Over 500 young changemakers from 14 top colleges and one visionary school came together to pitch bold, real-life solutions to one of Nepal’s most pressing issues — animal welfare.

After five outstanding teams made it to the final, Himalyan White House School rose to the top, proudly earning the title of “Best Idea of the Event”
Their solution stood out not only for its creativity but also for its real-world impact — and Aatmoutsarga Nepal is committed to bringing it to life within the next 6 months.

And proving that purpose has no age, Miss Bodhika Bhattarai from the same team was crowned Student Ambassador 2025 of Aatmoutsarga Nepal, becoming a national voice for youth-led change.

We were honored to be joined by a panel of visionary leaders and compassionate changemakers:
Mrs. Shrinkhala Khatiwada, Mr. Anil Keshary Shah, Miss Nepal World Sricha Pradhan, Aatmoutsarga Founder and President Ms. Pratibha Gurung, and Mr. Prakakram Shah — whose wisdom and presence added depth and inspiration to every moment.

Here we present "Aatmoutsarga Photo Contest 2023,” an opportunity to explore your relationship with your pets as you and your pet will participate and compete with other pets and their owners to showcase "your" strong relationship. Along with sharing the photo, tell us about your pet's story and how you share a special bond with your pet. The contest will have two winners, with the titles "Best Photo" and " Popular Photo."

Join us in our competition where we bring the passion of pet lovers with photography!

Aatmoutsarga Stray Community Project “Aashraya”

“Aashraya," the community project, dream home that aims to become a reality in all cities of the country. ASCP is a cement structure, portable with the help of special equipments.
The project is a modular concept intended to replace the concept of shelters homes and feeding campaigns.

Over one lakh street animals are there in Nepal, and it is nearly impossible for one or group of organizations to care for all of them. Aashraya is a community effort that enlists the aid of Nepali animal welfare organizations in order to urge local people of the community to care for the street animals.

The Asharya Project has been started in Dharan City to help the city's stray animals by giving them food, housing, and medical attention.
The project not only aims to help street animals, but also to reduce land pollution by encouraging people to feed dogs in asharays instead roadsides. When dogs have a place to dwell, the number of traffic accidents will reduce as well.

The project was officially inaugurated by Former Princess Kritika Rajya Laxmi Devi Shah, Former Princess Purnika Rajya Laxmi Devi Shah, and Ms. Shreeyukta Shah, all members of Nepal's Former Royal Family.

Former Princess Purnika Rajya Laxmi Devi Shah, Aatmoutsarga’s Goodwill Ambassador, and other former royal family members have demonstrated outstanding support for Nepal's street animals.
