Our family has grown, this time by two legs rather than four 🥰 Our lovely Cobberdog community has been so supportive, and we are so grateful for the wonderful people the pups have brought into our lives!

For everyone who has contacted us in recent months, I am slowly making progress with my inbox and will get back to you as soon as I can. Thank you for your patience!

The doggies are obviously thrilled with their little brother, and we are looking forward to many puppy-baby socialisation opportunities 😍

Happy 4th birthday to our B litter (Alba x Sirius)! How sweet are they?! This litter includes one certified assistance dog, several therapy dogs, one mother of 21 gorgeous pups (Nola), and 10 very loved family members 🥰 Very proud breeder here. 🌟 Why COI Matters 🌟

When planning litters, the Coefficient of Inbreeding (COI) isn’t just a number – it’s one of the strongest predictors of long-term health.

Here’s what science tells us:
🔹 COI measures risk – A higher COI means greater chance of inherited disease, reduced fertility, and shorter lifespan.
🔹 No level is risk-free – Even “low” COI values carry risk. The goal is to keep it as low as possible.
🔹 Linebreeding = inbreeding – It doesn’t matter what we call it, the genetic risks are the same.
🔹 Data matters – Shallow or incomplete pedigrees underestimate inbreeding. Deep, transparent pedigrees give a true picture.
🔹 Still essential today – Even with DNA tools available, COI remains a gold-standard tool recommended by canine geneticists.

That’s why at the Australian Cobberdog Society, we cap COI for every litter and provide breeders the tools to plan litters with low COI's. This protects genetic diversity, reduces inherited risks, and ensures healthier Cobberdogs for generations to come.

Welcome to Belgium, Ollie! 🇺🇸➡️🇧🇪

Our little American addition to the Heart and Soul pack flew into Paris last week, where he was picked up by his amazing guardian family. We finally met him in person and are blown away by how he has taken his big adventure in stride. He immediately had all of us, including the big dogs, wrapped around his little paws 🐾

Huge thank you to Four Oaks Labradoodles for making the process of getting him here so easy, and for giving him the best possible start. He is so balanced, social, affectionate, and well-behaved.

Ollie is already a big hit here in Belgium, and I expect his fan base will only grow. The future is bright for this little stud muffin ❤️

Finally introducing Nola and Motek's 10 sweet little brown bears 🐻🍫🤎 who are all thriving with their new families! Our house is feeling very empty without them 🥹

The puppies from Nola's first litter were named after great writers. We've continued the theme, this time with famous lords and ladies from literature. Can you tell where their names came from?

And they're off 🥹 Pepa and Rocky's babies have all joined their wonderful families! Their names are loosely tied to summertime, which is fitting as their first experiences in their new homes already involve water, beaches, and finding ways to beat this heat 😎

With this litter, exactly 101 Cobberdogs have been born with us! We are waiting to receive a call from Disney 😉 Somehow, we remember each of them and still think about them all the time 🥰 These pups really know how to steal hearts!
