বিড়ালের FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) সম্পর্কে জানুন

FIP বা Feline Infectious Peritonitis হলো বিড়ালের একটি মারাত্মক ভাইরাসজনিত রোগ। এটি সাধারণত Feline Coronavirus (FCoV) থেকে তৈরি হয়, যা অনেক বিড়ালের শরীরে নীরবে থাকতে পারে। কিন্তু কিছু ক্ষেত্রে ভাইরাসটি মিউটেশন হয়ে FIP এ রূপ নেয়।

FIP এর সাধারণ লক্ষণ:

✔ দীর্ঘদিন জ্বর থাকা (ওষুধে কমে আবার বাড়ে)
✔ খাওয়া কমে যাওয়া
✔ ওজন কমে যাওয়া
✔ পেট ফুলে যাওয়া (Fluid জমা – Wet form)
✔ চোখ বা স্নায়ুর সমস্যা (Dry form)

FIP দুই ধরনের হতে পারে:
🔹 Wet FIP – পেট বা বুকে পানি জমে
🔹 Dry FIP – শরীরের বিভিন্ন অঙ্গে প্রদাহ তৈরি করে

❗ গুরুত্বপূর্ণ কথা:

আগে FIP মানেই প্রায় নিশ্চিত মৃত্যু ভাবা হতো। কিন্তু বর্তমানে নির্দিষ্ট চিকিৎসা ব্যবস্থার মাধ্যমে অনেক ক্ষেত্রেই ভালো ফল পাওয়া যাচ্ছে — যদি দ্রুত সঠিকভাবে শনাক্ত ও চিকিৎসা শুরু করা যায়।

আপনার বিড়ালের যদি দীর্ঘদিন জ্বর, দুর্বলতা বা পেট ফুলে যাওয়ার মতো সমস্যা দেখা যায়, দেরি না করে ভেটেরিনারি চিকিৎসকের পরামর্শ নিন।
